Robin Williams' widow is fighting with his children from a previous marriage over the late actor and comedian's estate, according to reports.
In papers filed in San Francisco Superior Court in December, Williams' wife, Susan Schneider, claimed some of Williams' belongings were retrieved without her permission. She asked the court to exclude the contents of the Tiburon home she and Williams shared from the jewelry, memorabilia, and other items Williams wanted his children to have.
Williams' children, Zachary, Zelda and Cody, countered that Schneider is "adding insult to a terrible injury" by trying to change the trust agreement and is preventing them from retreiving clothing and other personal items of their father they're entitled to.
"The Williams children are heartbroken that [the] petitioner, Mr Williams's wife of less than three years, has acted against his wishes by challenging the plans he so carefully made for his estate," the Williams' children's attorneys said in court papers.
Schneider's attorney, James Wagstaffe, said Monday his client was merely asking the court for guidance on where certain items should go.
"This is not ugly," he said. "I would not say this is anticipated to be a highly contested proceeding."
Williams died at his Tiburon home in August. His death was ruled a suicide by way of asphyxia caused by hanging.

Posted this in the weird news thread yesterday, his widow seems like a real b****

It's sad that this is happening, but not surprising. A good woman should know and understand that the children should get the majority of the possessions from their father. This woman sounds like a b****.

If he has it established in his final wishes, that is legally binding. She don't even have a case.

Well she is trying to make it out like one thing he said in his will for her trust means she can upgrade the house and get stupid with it when it was clear Robin meant normal upkeep and the like

Hopefully a responsible judge will be able to close this down quickly with a rock solid judgement.

It always sucks to see this happen.

She and Casey Kasem's widow should get together and go bowling.

sounds like she's a real **** to put the kids thru this s**t...

You'd be surprised the number of ways wills can be subverted and thrown out in the US.

Especially one who was only married to the man for three years and had zero of the children with him. She's just money grubbing at this point.

Unfortunately even if it was outright stated unambiguously what he wanted done, money and lawyers can alter anyone's last wishes enough to be ignored.
