Man do I love that smily. At least I was trolling on topic though.
Yeah, I did. I didn't expect a stubborn jackass to stop trolling after 2 pages of doing nothing but that. You got a problem with that?
Seriously, cut it out or I'll alert the mods!!!!!
That's right! The mods will lay the smackdown on us!
Man, you guys just can't let it go can you.
That's all I have to say about that. [/Gump]
Cookiva, do you have a 360? Got a gamertag?
I LOVE YOU COOKIE
Grr... On the Spot was fooling around with the Rock Band peripherals on this week's show. It'd be bad enough having to wait until Tuesday to play this game, but I have to wait until Christmas.
I can't wait for Tuesday.
True, and since my cousins will be in the state for Christmas I'll probably be able to have a pretty wicked jam party.
Apparently, the actual RB guitar kinda sucks compared to the GH one
WTF, it does?
That means I'm gonna buy the GH games for now, and then buy RB (game only) when it's available next year
Same, it sucks.
My copy's preordered, it's just not coming until Christmas.
Well, my entertainment center's surge protector died last night, so it looks like I'm off to Best Buy today to replace it. Maybe if I'm lucky, they'll have the RB demo there. Here's hoping!
I'm gonna get just the game of this for now, using my GH controller with it...then I'll later buy the drums, mic, and another guitar (probably another GH one, unless they make it so the RB controller works on GH)
Well, they have the Rock Band demo at my Best Buy, but unfortunately when you try to play a song, it quits and says that the disc is dirty, which sucks. But I did get a chance to at least fool around with the peripherals a bit.
I was very pleased with how the guitar controller felt, and while I don't know how it hods up during actual gameplay, I felt that it was a big improvement over the guitar hero controllers. It feels a lot sturdier, and the fret buttons feel more natural. I'm not sure wether the clickless strum bar will be an improvement or not, but I like the idea of being able to actually strum it rather than just pushing it down like a button.
The drums overall seemed to be very well constructed, however the sticks were crap. I would definitely like to buy a set of higher quality sticks when I get the game, because the ones with the demo unit looked like their tips had been gnawed on by a beaver.
Overall, I'm quite pleased with how the game is shaping up, and now that I've had a chance to actually touch and hold the peripherals for myself, I'm even more pumped for this game's release!
I think I figured out the biggest thing I didn't like with the drums.
With the guitar, you dont have to thrash your hands around, all you have to do is flip the 'string' and press down on the buttons. With the drums you're still required to move your hands around and such, like a normal drumset. And after drumming with Corps weight stick for over 8 years, the difference is HUGE.
IGN review score: 9.4
Stupid Gamespot is probably going to wait until the game's been out for a week, just like they're doing with Uncharted.
This will be SO fun to sing. hahahahaha
I have the box in the very room where I now sit, typing... It is staring at me, laughing at me, with the words "do not open till Christmas" ringing in my ears...
HOePy EgNuyIs! WTh,aBt'Os uYp? t:
Oh well, at least the PS3 RB guitar is wireless.
