Funny thing about me is that I love when unusual games come out for a console. With Nintendo, what I consider unusual are violent, edgy or over the top games, such as
House of the Dead: Overkill,
MadWorld or
Dead Space Extraction. So, it is with great joy that I can announce the next crazy game I never saw coming to the Wii U
Rock Zombie, by EnjoyUp Games and Quaternion Studio!
What is
Rock Zombie, you ask? It is what happens when you mix up a beat em up game like
Final Fight with badass babes and zombies. It also features lovely 3D graphics. According to the official site, it will have over 20 different levels, full of all sorts of mayhem, as well as a wide assortment of weapons at your disposal. Players will be able to select from 3 playable characters, Zoe, Sasha and Crystal, and then unleash their fury upon the zombie hordes. The game will also feature lots of bumping tunes in the OST, ranging from Nu Metal to Hard Rock to Alt Rock. Best of all, apparently there will be plenty of unlockables, including concept art and costumes.
Im personally digging the visual style of the game, which looks heavily nuanced and influenced by gritty graphic novels. If
Rock Zombie plays half as well as it looks, it will be a game worthy of any Wii U library. Though no release date has been announced for the Wii U version yet, there is this lovely trailer to look at. Take a gander and chime in if youre interested in this throwback goodness.
