Been thinking of picking up Rocksmith, but before spending the money, has anyone used it? How successful is it at teaching guitar so you can play outside of rocksmith?

Been thinking of picking up Rocksmith, but before spending the money, has anyone used it? How successful is it at teaching guitar so you can play outside of rocksmith?

I cant speak personally but iv got a buddy who has been playing for like 14 years and he thought it was a good tool. Claimed you prob wouldn't learn anything advanced but as an entry level device, he signed off on it. Iv got a copy of it, but never really go to play it because the game says you need two different sound sources, so like your tv and a sound bar or something for the game to work properly, which i don't have at the moment.

It works. Taught me how to play. Plus its really fun
