Yeah it was this on EGS, but for Amazon Prime subscribers. I got the game through that and still haven't played it.

Same. I still haven't bothered with it. Coincidentally, I did give GK a whirl which I don't think is all that bad. Solid 7/10. Could have an 8 with some tweaks and removal of redundant content.

I played Gotham knights for a minute. Never beat it though. Gameplay was too generic. Wasn’t a fun beat em up. Never finished and prob never will

Gotham knights was meh. The city is well done, but the locomotion is so boring. Even Batgirl's gliding, the most similar to Bats, is too slow and there's no fun at all. SS never looked fun to me, sincerely. What a bad time for DC games

The combat isn't that bad. Its just deliberately not Arkham to its detriment. Its more timing based and the dodge roll you get functions as the Arkham counter but not as good or as intuitive. I'm not saying it's a great game but as a Batman fan, it was worth the 20 bucks I paid for the compete version aand it's definitely better than Suicide Squad.

Surprisingly "normal" design.
I was expecting something more outlandish considering how the other characters looked.
But that looks pretty standard Deathstroke...not a bad thing.

Certainly interested in seeing his Gameplay.
Of course it wont save the game, but if that is the last season, would be nice to have a fun final season.
If not, im curious who they will have as final season...the support cant be going that much longer, so i think if this is not the final, it has maybe 2 left...but i dont know.

I'm fairly comfortable in saying this was always the plan. They aren't getting the resources to rework their in progress road map.

Based on how half-assed this whole affair was, I'm fairly comfortable saying there was never really a proper road map in the first place lol. This game will be a talking point in intro to game design courses moving forward. That will be its legacy.

FINAL SEASON​

With Deathstroke joining the roster, the Suicide Squad’s crusade against Brainiac is drawing to an end. Season 4 will finish up with Episode 8, which is scheduled to release in January 2025, and that will serve as the last seasonal Episode for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. While Season 4 Episode 8 will mark the final battle against Brainiac, all online features will continue to be available, so you’ll still be able to enjoy co-op with friends, as well as all previous seasonal/episodic content. You’ll also have the option to play the game via the new Offline mode, which allows access to the main story campaign and all post-launch seasonal gameplay content without an internet connection.

- Servers will remain online after the last update

Depending on the reception of the offline mode, I may start playing it again. I liked the overall concept of the game whenever I played it around the time it first came out. The potential was there for something great, but they just dropped the ball with the way everything was implemented. I found it to be a legitimately fun game. I just never cared for the online element.

I wish things would have worked out differently for this game, but they should have listened to their core audience whenever they announced it would be a live service game. They shot themselves in the foot with their own arrogance.

Making a game your audience doesn't want is a different kind of incompetence. And frankly, given the time to make the game, even chasing trends is a bit of a different story. This was their roadmap. Nothing changed from that very first preview (oh, I'm sure Sony loved paying for that big disappointment).

Have you played this thing? This goes way beyond the audience not wanting it. Its incredibly barebones for what it's trying to be. Even with the updates, the content just isn't there. I wouldn't be surprised if the final product only had like two years of active development after multiple starts and stops due to publisher interference.

So it IS the Final season...well, thats that then i guess.
Its a shame, there is potential in there, but too many bad decisions have been made.
Its not the worst failure in Live Service game history, but its pretty up there sadly.
So much time and money wasted, so much potential...its a shame.

WB got their SS live service game, and paid for it.
It kind of sucks because a Suicide Squad game sounds like fun, its just that WB only saw it work as live service and planned it bad...now its possible we never see a suicide squad game ever again.

It is what it is, lets hope the future is brighter for DC games going forward.

In what will surely come as no surprise at all, the end of Suicide Squad means layoffs at Warner Bros.

WB Games Montreal will reportedly lay off 99 employees as there is no longer enough work to justify keeping them around.
