• Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. The admin team will continue to work on existing issues, templates and upgrade all necessary available addons to minimize impact of this new version.

Rocksteady's Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League

Finally bit the bullet and picked this up when the Deluxe version was on sale for $20.

I actually own two copies of this now lol. Prime gave it too me on epic months ago and my roommate gifted it too me on steam when it was like three dollars over over the holidays.

been waiting on a deal for it, was almost gonna get it used so cannot say no to it being free he he

Was to be expected that it would be part of a PS Plus month, we just didnt knew when it would be part of it.
Maybe down the line i will play it, but as it stands...i have no interest in it.
But for free, i can put it into my library for sure.

Any chance you could get a refund then buy it again for free on PS Plus?
I wish, but I bought it digitally on PS Store and already put like 8-9 hours or so into I'd guess so unfortunately not. But oh well.

I assume there are still no higher ups involved in these Layoffs.
Just the little guy WB grinded into the dirt to squeeze out this Live Service mess.

No, the people who greenlit this all, are safe and sound in their expensive homes, enjoying the bonus they got for doing absolutely nothing.

It never is in any company in any employment sector.

Managers & bosses make decisions, running companies practically into the ground at times & the people that always are the first to go are the 'boots on the ground' workers that followed their instructions probably against their own better judgement & created what they were asked to create.

Then the CEO or whomever was pulling the strings, "voluntarily leaves" 3-6 months later with a massive severance package.

Reminder that the final episode arrives tomorrow. Wrapping up a terrible year for the game. Lets hope they give us a semi decent conclusion story-wise.

Going forward, if Rocksteady wants to pretend this steaming pile never happened, I'll be ok with that.

So

It ends predictable and lackluster, with the League being alive...except for Wonder Woman.
Great, just freaking great.
Why not make her a Clone too? Why is she the only one that stays dead?

This is not a better ending, i dont want them ever to return to this universe when Diana is dead.
There is no value left in the Arkhamverse, not with the way we initially thought it ends and with this ending.
They ruined the Arkham universe for me and i dont want them to ever go back to that universe.
I appreciate what it did until this game, but its time to move on.

The Arkhamverse ended with Arkham Knight. You wrote out your main character and outed his secret identity and had him fake his own death. That story is done.

They'll simply stay in pre-Arkham City territory and stretch the timeline out. Naturally with Roger Craig Smith and Troy Baker.

Although, I must say, I'd rather they (or any game studio) started fresh with a new take on the Bat-mythos for video games.

I wonder how much better Arkham Origins would have been if they developers had been allowed to treat it more like a spiritual successor to the Arkham games (especially given that Arkham Knight was going to end with Batman being outed and faking his own death, basically ending the universe in the process) instead of as a prequel. Continuity wise, that would have allowed them to blaze their own path and not have to fit into the Arkham box.

So insulting that the entire game just ends with a slide show and Harley narrating... not even a proper cutscene. But I get that they probably thought it wasn't worth doing more than this.

Its kind of a fitting end for this game.
Nothing big or spectacular...a hastly put together slideshow, dissapointing the people one more time.

Its such a shame because there is so much potential and this game could have worked.
The character designs mostly are incredible, Metropolis etc are beautiful crafted worlds to explore, the traversal is fun.
Sadly too much went wrong here.
A shame and it sucks that it meant layoffs etc.

I hope lessons were learned and everyone involved can move forward to better things.

Lessons were not learned and GAAS will rear its ugly head again, they will make the same mistakes this game made with grinding, microtransactions and poor gameplay then scratch their heads at why it keeps failing.

In the end, the game never lived up to its title because the Sucide Squad never actually killed the real Justice League. The only one who actually died was Wonder Woman and that was from a Superman clone. This is actually hilarious.

Shows how monumentally you have to **** up in management to get fired and even then they are giving him 3 months of sticking around before replacing him, presumably with a nice exit package on top of that.

Any other lower employee would be shoved out the door with the finger.
