I have a feeling that I'm going to tear up during this scene. :(

Just to hear the "Gonna Fly Now" theme music and him running up the stairs once more? Man, going to be a very powerful scene in my opinion.

Whilhem u have a low IQ I reckon, Rocky Balboa is gonna be baddass.

It'll either sule or ruck, but neither rule nor suck.

^Yup.

Also, from the looks of it, since Rocky isn't running too fast up the steps with his dog Punchy, it could be his first "run" during the beginning of his training, then he comes back the final day by himself, just like in the first film.........

Yeah, a lot of people think it's a stupid idea, but those are the same people that told him he'd never make a dime in this business also.
Why do you keep repeating this erroneous and really really dumb statement?
I was a tiny little kid when Rocky came out. I never even knew who Stallone was, how could I've said he'd never "make a dime" in the business.

Look, this is the same concept as when an old band, like say KISS or the Eagles, they make a big hoopla about how they're going on ONE last big farewell tour, so it's your last chance to see them and pay your respects, so everybody goes and gets emotional.

Then, the next summer, the old band members see how much money they made and guess what, they're on tour again.

It's pathetic.

New stuff on the last day of shooting:

'Rocky' roundup

Sylvester Stallone's last weekend in town was a busy one. He worked from 9 p.m. Friday to nearly 5 Saturday morning at the New Alhambra Arena and Joe Hand Boxing Gym (Swanson & Ritner) in South Philly, shooting a fight scene for "Rocky Balboa."

A few hours later, he ran on Kelly Drive and the Art Museum steps.

Why do you keep posting here? Why is it dumb? It's a comeback story for not only the actor, but also the character. If you can't understand that, then see the other posts about your low IQ.

So was I, and I'm talking about the media, not your useless opinion.

I agree. I've been caught seeing KISS on their so-called farewell tour three times, so what. If it's a quality show or film, what's the harm?

Then, the next summer, the old band members see how much money they made and guess what, they're on tour again.

It's pathetic.

Like I said before, if you don't like the classics, stick to the new stuff like The Bachelor and the crappy Will Ferrell and Ryan Reynolds films......I disagree about Stallone making this film ONLY for the cash, so we'll agree to disagree on that.

Why did you start a thread asking people if they think the movie is going to suck or rule and then bash people when they its gonna suck. Seriously, if you wanted a Rocky worshipping thread you shouldve titled it something else.

its just some of his responses are not very intelligible.

I find that sentence quite amusing, since I can name about 50 movies that are considered classics before Rocky. Rocky is a very popular movie, hell ill call it a classic, but the franchise isnt. It became repetitive, boring and pointless. Same rehashed plot after another. What made the first Rocky "classic" is that he fought his heart out and in the end he lost. He didnt care that he lost, he knew he had made it. The next movies just involved Rocky getting his ass handed to him for 12 rounds and then knocking the guy out in the last round (Rocky IV apparently its hinted that Rocky single handedly toppled the Soviet Union, whatever.) So yeah when I think of classics, I think Citizen Kane, Casablanca, To Kill A Mockingbird, The Godfather. Rocky doesnt even come close.

It doesnt matter. You asked for his opinion hes giving it, intelligible or not he's within his rights considering the question put upon us by you, the maker of said thread.

I agree, I didn't mean classic in that sense, I meant classic as in older.

The first Rocky was outstanding, and because of it, earned a best picture Oscar. I like the character and what he stands for, that's all......the other 4 films were fun movies, nothing more. With this film, it will be like the first film more than likely - he won't win............

I just want to say, I dont know if the movie will be good or not I just find it unecessary. But really I dont mind it being the big finale for the franchise since lets face it Rocky V sucked, hard. But yeah hopefully it stops here and we dont get more Rocky's. I just believe IMO that Sly is using this as a vehicle for a career comeback, since he has another Rambo coming up too. Doesnt mean it wont be good, I just think that Rocky needs to stay dead, as the franchise I mean. Since nothing will ever top the first movie.

I can agree with that - it's a comeback for both of them. Then again, since I like the character, it will be great to see him on screen and hear that music again............

Rambo should stay dead though...........

Where is Rambo going anyway, they sending him to Iraq?

Hahaha, me too. But Kiss made a fool of me because I was so drunk at the first "farewell" that I cried during Paul Stanley's goodbye speech. hahahaha

p.s. High-Q man...quit asking why people that think it will suck keep posting here. It's a THREAD about whether it will suck or not, so, after having stated that you DON'T think it will suck, one could just as easily ask why YOU keep posting here.
Again, please note that I haven't posted ONCE in the thread that's simply titled "Rocky 6", because that's not a place for people to b**** and moan about how much it's going to suck.

THIS...is.

Hilarious. I started going to their "reunion" and "farewell" tours back in 1996 - they got me at least 5 times with that crap............

I don't care though, they're great.........

That's my view on Rocky as well, I like the character and it's a guilty pleasure of mine, even though the sequels got corny. I really hope this one sends him out the right way this time, and based on what I've read from the script, it will...............

That's fine. Try being more tactful or start using more class in your posts then when slamming the film............

There is nothing unintelligible about my posts. All of my word choices are correct, I'm employing impeccable spelling and grammar and clearly stating my opinion (which is what this thread is for) using examples and analysis.

You need to learn that just because you disagree with someone, it doesn't necessarily indicate a lack of intelligence on the part of your philosophical foe.
My best friend is an amazingly accomplished academician and logician who is almost perversely well-read, and yet he is a Bible-believing Christian, which is stupid, but his opinions on the veracity of the Bible can't detract from the fact that he's super-intelligent.

I have a feeling that Sly will do one of his infamous flops. I dont want it to happen but it might.

Hope Not!

This first film was the best, but I believe that this one could come close to being as good.
Why ? because he is kinda in the same situation, he's back to being a bum or a nobody and the odds are way against him so its kinda like the series coming full circle. I don't think V sucked but it was the weaskest of the series.

It seems this film is gonna be a bit more realistic than those that preceeded it and for this reason I'm all for it.
If its even half as good as Rocky then thats one hell of a movie.
The first film is an all time classic thats why it won best picture.
