Maybe you could do a movie where Rocky trains his son to be a boxer....but we kinda saw that movie in part 5. The only thing I didn't like about rocky 6 was that his opponent looked too and acted boring. There was no menace to him like Apollo Creed or Mr T. They should have had a Mike Tyson like character.

I liked Rocky Balboa & I thought it should more or less have been the proper send off the Rocky character should have got in Rocky V.
Not that I didn't like Rocky V but I thought with the way the film was set up, Rocky dying after the street fight would have been a far more fitting ending.

The only way I can see a Rocky 7 working is if Rocky isn't fighting ie coaching ala Rocky V. But then again I don't think it would be "like a Rocky film" if Rocky isn't fighting.. I'm probably alone in thinking that though..

Ah, what the hell. I'd watch it, the last film was pretty good. If Sly can keep going with Rambo and Rocky, and they are good progressive stories, why not?

I am with you on this one

Rocky is such an interesting character, boxing used as a metaphor for the fight that is life itself. When a character like this has been created, you shouldn't willingly close the chapter on him, when there are a lot more stories that can be told.

I would say do another one.

Have Rocky doing some small fights at the beginning, building his career all over again.

This time have him gain a clear cut victory too That would be great

After he gave us Rocky balboa and Rambo, and seeing that the Expendables looks pretty fun, I am more than willing to check out another Rocky film.

If there's more stories of Rocky to tell then I'm fine with it but Rocky Balboa was a perfect ending to the series that I don't see what else Rocky has to prove, who's he gonna fight?

I would be cool seeing Rocky maybe patching things up with Clubber Lang, Tommy Gunn and Drago and see where they've been up to.

The character in the film was based off Tyson in him KO his opponenets early in matvhes hence why he was bashed by critics for fighting bums KO them easily.

I thought the last one had a good ending. I know Stallone could come up with a good story but this isn't something i'm clamoring for.

I dunno. I liked Rocky Balboa but I dont know if we need another film. It was a strong movie and it was a sensible end for the character. Where else can he go? I guess Sylvester needs both Rocky and Rambo for his career, though. More movies are good for him, if not for the series.

I do remember Stallone saying that's what was supposed to happen originally.

But the studio executives didn't like it and felt that it was too depressing for an iconic character so he changed it.

Stallone sure is desperate to demolish his recent public goodwill and undo what were pitch-perfect series' ends for Rambo and Rocky. Dumb.

Eh, I never really cared for the Rocky films. 4 is my favorite (Cold War cheese!). Still haven't seen 5 and 6.

Rocky Balboa was great and the perfect ending.

Im taking this with a grain of salt. I think theres a slim chance that this is real, more likely internet rumors.

I think he has a lot of talent has a writer/director and Im looking forward to the next Rambo, and his possible Poe movie and Death Wish remake, but this seems a little much.

It sounds like he wants to make a much different movie than the others without the boxing focusing more heavily on the drama. Maybe he knows he can get another Rocky movie made easily but to show off his dramatic skills since he recently said Poe wasnt happening because the producer wasnt keen on a non-action/sports movie helmed by Stallone

We don't need another one. Stallone capped it off perfectly with the sixth film. And it was a great film too. We don't need another one. Part of Rocky is about boxing, he cna't box anymore so what's the damn point?
