Rogue, they ruined her, or did they?

She remains at the school, because her parents supposedly does not accept her as a being mutant. You must think of Rogue on a more personal level, not necessarily as part of a crime-fighting team in which she "joins".
That's all well and good except that she is a character in a contrived story which means she exists as a plot point. If she wasn't interested in being part of the team, then the writers would not write her as part of the team in X2. Again, this is not real life. She exists in the story for a reason. And the focus of the second movie is not on her "curse" but rather her becoming a member of the team.

Then to emphasize this, they should have shown her seeing other people touch each other and being jealous of that instead of focusing on her fearing Bobby was running off with Kitty.

I think the film has enough people in it, don't you think?

Again, what is actually shown in the movie contradicts it. You are making assumptions about her state of mind instead of going by what the movie specifically shows us.

Like what? That she uses her power in the danger room?? Does that mean she accepts her power...perhaps...in battle. But again, you have to delve deeper in her character...on a personal level. And she's not happy.

Then the filmmakers need to show her internal struggle more. It is not my job to make assumptions and to fill in the blanks. If the point of her character is her struggle, then explore that part of the character instead of trying to show her moving forward by joining the team.

That I agree on! But sometimes I think it's more satisfying to speculate a person's actions by what is already given, and not have everything laid out in front of you. It improves perspective-taking skills. :)

I would normally agree except in the case where a character's choices are a big plot point, particularly when said plot point is an emotional struggle. The problem is that Rogue is so marginalized in X3 and what we do have of her shows her fearing losing Bobby to Kitty. If Ratner et al had taken the time to explore the character and showed an actual struggle, we might actually believe she made the choice for herself and not just as an attempt to keep Bobby from running away.

rogue was a wuss in the whole franchise...they should have killed her off she had no parts that made me say "thats rouge"

Of course, because it's Rogue not Rouge. :)

if they'd had more scenes I think you would have understood her actions better, but the whole thing was too rushed I just hope she gets some powers back, though she would have tio be able to control them now or it wouldn't be fair.

one of major questions in this film was how did Rogue getted cured??? They show Bobby and John talking outside the cure clinic, then bobby blows it up...... then they show Rogue getting in line at the clinic after everyone runs away...... my question is, how did they administer her the cure when the building was f'ed up.........

im sure there where multiple locations to get the cure.

John blew it up, for one thing. And second of all, who knows how much of the facility was destroyed? and there could always be multiple locations where the cure was being distributed

There are already two threads that I know of devoted to Rogue taking the cure, but they keep getting pushed back because people keep making new threads. On the same topics.

I'm sure there was too, but they show her getting in the line for the blown up clinic, last time I checked, when a building is blown apart like that, they shut it down,

maybe the damage wasn't that extensive, and who knows how much time past between the explosion and when she got in line

I'm sure the fire marshal would shut a building down after that
Wat fire martial. He only blew out two windows. The place didnt go up in flames.

Not a good question.
A very, very dumb question.

"Yep, everyone from America, from LA to New York! Come to our one big facility!"

I'm glad you guys don't organize flu shots for flu season.

he blew the hole inside out.............. whatever, can't ask any freaking questions on this damn message board, can't critize a movie with x-men in the tittle............

perhaps they just used the same set to save money and time and you weren't supposed to notice it was the same building?
