Hey, look at the positive here… NYT gave it a fresh review.

They at least have enough positives to make a "critic's TV spot" with some big names - Dargis (who, by the way, gave TWS a splat!), Roeper, EW…

People were really hiding their head in the sands when it was being said over and over that the American critics would annihilate this movie. A pipe dream thinking that they would elevate the rating and not sink it.

I'm surprised that this movie's score has been dropping like it is, into "rotten territory."

Don't get me wrong, I agree with the score personally, but I honestly was expecting this to end up in the 60s for some reason.

I was beginning to see the possibility of that happening once it hit the 70s with so few reviews clocked in, but the movie was doing a good job at staying alive for a while, as one day it would be in the low 70s, and then it would rise into the upper 70s the next day.

I guess it's kind of surreal for me to see a Spider-Man movie with a "rotten" score on the Tomatometer.

Don't sweat it man, you were just giving your opinion. Something this site seems to not want people to do. ASM2 is a terrible film and its getting the rating it deserves.

I'll admit, this thread alone has increased my worry that this movie will be bad. I usually don't care what critics say, but this dropping into rotten is not good.

I can't see this being Batman and Robin bad (or Catwoman bad for that matter). There was also a review that stated Peter/Spider-Man makes jokes in the face of death/danger. Which seems to indicate that the reviewer in question did not understand the character at all.

Glancing at some reviews and the positive and negative reviews don't seem to be that drastically different. It sounds more like a mediocre film that can easily slip towards a good or bad response.

It doesn't matter if the guy had already been banned. He said he came here to watch the loonies melt down in this thread....so anyone not pleased with what they see in here, are being called "loonies".

You and the other regulars should know by now...I do not allow people to call other posters names or disrespect their opinions about movies. I don't care a flying fart what someone's opinion of a movie is...I just want them to be civil about their discussions.
