If someone had told me months ago, that Tasm2 would be rated at 56% just like man of steel, I would've never believed it. Mos sucks. Tasm2 does not.

Bu...But... Your avatar...

I can not for the life of me figure out why you have a MOS avatar yet continue to bash the **** out of the film.:whatever:

Still roughly 100 reviews to go. Here comes the bomb... At 74 Fresh and 57 Rotten, even if we get 100 positive reviews in a row the movie would still only be at 75%, that's how bad it's gotten...

In Naite's defence I would totally rock a MOS avatar of Supes. The costume is one of the best adaptations to date, it doesn't necessarily mean he loves the movie. He clearly just stated it sucked lol?

I haven't seen this one but I think the first film deserved these kind of reviews.

6 hours until the screening... Can't... Wait... Much... Longer...

I won't see it till tomorrow. Got a project due so yea.

Pfttt... It's only for grades that determine your academic future, which determine your career limitations... Quit being such a little girl LEVI... :hehe:

Are we still talking about Man of Steel in order to avoid talking about this film's ratings? It was pathetic yesterday and it's pathetic today.

I honestly see this film going into the 40's.

TeeKay, what are your thoughts on how this movie is getting smashed by the critics?

It's the ye almighty dollar for most movie fans. Shame.

Yes a $14 ticket, or worse $18.50 to watch bad 3D you don't want because other shows aren't available is a shame when the movie turns out to be disappointing or not worth it. Movies are a business. They take a lot of money to make and if enough people want to see them they make a lot of money. Studios aren't making these films out of the goodness of their hearts.

For people with families or even just for those whose budgets are tight going to a movie can be a sizable expense. Seeing one movie might mean not seeing another or not buying something else. There's also not just one way to see a film. It might not be worth a trip to the theater but it might be worth it to Redbox, VOD, Netflix or wait until it hits TV.

It's a weighing of choices and some people like to do that with as much information as possible. With movies that means, trailers, ads, interviews and yes reviews and WOM.

Going in with an open mind. I've heard terrible things and I've heard amazing things. Before going in I'll list my ratings for previous Spider-Man films.

SM- 7.5/10
SM2- 8.5/10
SM3- 4/10
TASM- 6.5/10

70% - yay let's go see it! It's going to be the best movie ever!

69% - oh no, it's the worst movie ever! I guess I'll avoid it.

So, according to Rotten Tomatoes, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is actually WORSE than Spider-Man 3. Currently, standing at 56%.

And yet, people wonder why I hate and don't value the opinions on that site whatsoever.

56%, huh? Guess I hit the nail on the head when I said this was the Man of Steel of Spider-Man films... I'll find out for sure tomorrow.

Really surprising. This movie succeeded where the likes of IM2 and SM3 failed imo.

Have you seen ASM2 yet?

Tee, you and Soto got some splaining to do. You 2, along with me, disliked TASM1. Both of you praise the film and let the critics bash it.

You 2 being paid by Sony and if so, why wasn't I involved?

The way fresh/rotten is determined makes the entire thing pointless. There was a largely positive Cap 2 review but it was still assigned as a rotten. That's worthless.

No doubt people look at the score, but when the score is rendered flat out wrong by that kind of arbitrary decision making it ceases to be useful imo

It's not like RT makes the decision. The critics themselves choose "fresh" or "rotten" when they post their review to RT.

man down to a 56 same score has man of steel and man of steel has a higher average at 6.2 then this 5.9 this sucks with the way things are going I am wondering if it may even get into the 40's has it seemeds like right now we keep getting like 2 good reviews then 4 bad ones. I am scard to even keep cheeking the score at this point. If the movie turns out to not make less money then the first one and a lot of fans don't like it I hope that wakes sony up has it has been to long sences a great spider man movie.
