The Dark Knight Rises Roven: Joker Could Return

Gyllenhaal? Imagine Raimi's Whiney Parker with Gyllenhaal's already naturally whiney voice. The results could be amazing :csad:

I forgot to add that with a different director.

Yeah, I don't see Jake making those odd wrinkley cry faces Maguire makes.

Yea Macguire is good. Tis just a shame as the movies progressed, his character was turned into a whiny prick.

Spiderman 4 will open with Peter crying over something.

Personally I think it's time for an overall recast of that particular franchise...

Look, spider-man is whiny but thats kind of the point. He has a lot to whine about, but he picks himself up and does what he has to. Thats one thing I'll hand Marvel, they were the first to point out the fact that if you actually were a superhero, your life would probably suck a lot of dick. They were dealing with angst in an era when supes and bats were constantly grinning and making puns.

Lol, I remember people making gifs on other forums of him crying. Tobey should refrain from crying in movies as much as he can. :D

Is this a topic about Spiderman new movie ? :whatever:

Hey what about James Franco as the Joker?

Depp was my first choice though he may ask for too much money.

I could see that, from Pineapple express to Milk, he certainly has range.

gwynplaine!!!! Long time no see!! Yea I think Franco is a good actor, I wouldn't mind him taking on the Joker role. He'd have to do what Heath did though, become the Joker. Study him, fully immerse himself into the role. But I suppose that goes for whoever gets the gig.

Hmm...Franco...if this were a few years ago, I'd have laughed at the idea. But seeing as he's really getting notice for his range, I could see it.

Yeh hes pretty good. only knowing him from spider-man i thought he was a brick, but last year i watched freaks and geeks, pineapple express and milk, the guy really can act.

Franco is getting better and better... It would be nice to see him in Joker's role.

Absolutely. I read somewhere that Franco lived with a bunch of stoners in order to study them for Pineapple (because I think he is not a smoker), he has the same "method" approach to a character that Heath did, that's also why I think it could work.
Good to see you, Ace and congratulations on the great "burning mountain of money manip" you posted in the fanart thread.

Um, Franco has always been good. Check out his turn as James Dean in...You guessed it, "James Dean"... That was way back, in 2001, I believe.

Yeah, he lived in the streets for a while or something like that for City By The Sea, too.

Franco's a pretty good call. I still don't want Joker returning yet, but if it had to happen...yeah, I'd put Franco on my shortlist.

Yea I'm definitely warming to the idea of Franco. I would love to see him really let loose, I think he has the ability to play a proper menacing, evil villain. Goblin was a little too toned down.

There's an interview somewhere where Franco totally praises Ledger's performance and congratulates him for moving out of Nicholson's shadow.

I dunnow what i'm trying to say, but i'm just throwing that out.
