hollywood studios. its why those short movies have so much potential. there is no pressure and no compromises. and at the end sometimes those short movies will inspirey hollywood to buy them and make a movie.

With Hollywood, when there's one movie that breaks some sort of ground (The Matrix, Blade Runner, Bourne, etc) then there will be tons of copycats that will ride that vicarious wave. Shakey camera, futuristic cities with an Asian influence, etc.

It sucks because even in video games, it's the same thing. How many times have you seen a bunch of smart arse space marines/swat team in a post-apocalypic setting? That's why I love Mass Effect and Bioshock for having an original eye.

The motorcycle chase definitely reminded me of the one from Terminator 2. Also, on one of the road signs, it says "Cameron Fwy", possibly a reference to James Cameron.
