Reported by Soapy in the Gaming Lounge, even though just a rumor, I thought deserves its own Thread. For two reasons, 1. We have Threads like the Superman one, where we basically just talk about what we'd like to see 2. The Arkham City Thread will get turned into a TMNT thread. If this rumor turns out to be true, one thing's for sure, it'll be the best TMNT game since the Arcades and Turtles in Time on the SNES.

So discuss away. What would you like to see? From what the rumors are reporting, it seems like they'll concentrate on characters from the 80's cartoon, apparently even going as far as having Hamato Yoshi be Splinter. I personally hope that the vibe will be gritty, maybe not as much as the Batman games, and that the vibe goes a bit toward the 2003 TMNT cartoon. I'm just not a fan of Bebop, Rocksteady and Krang anymore, and if we have to endure them, I hope they'll also introduce characters from the comic and 2003 cartoon as well.

Bebop and Krang are awesome. :o

Rocksteady though, I wouldn't miss him. :o

Merged!!!

Hope it turns out to be true. Love me some TMNT.

I guess they could be awesome, if they get a complete redesign. I just hope they don't do with them, what they did with Bane and Grundy in their Batman games. Practically turning them into freaking giants.

Damn it. I'm in a total Turtles mood now. I even have the 2k3 cartoon running in the background.

Man...it would be cool to have a new TMNT game, Rocksteady would definitely do the characters justice, I would like to see them aim for a darker tone and stray away from the cartoon series, as much as i love the 80's cartoon.

bebop and rock steady? whoa that a complete throw back I was ok with them and the did with that last serise that's started in 2003. yeah I'm aware they finish that series. I'm just happy I finished up that series with the missing 4th season where they supposed to fight the Tengu shredder and fish of the final of what was done there. I would liked for them to continue more from that. but if they want o restart with old concept with new stories as if restarting again fine. but that whole thing that was started with transformers jumping alternate reality to reality is kinda getting dis heartening.

heck they could just re-introduce Bebop and Rock steady there along with those other two mutated creatures from the turtles movies.

Ha. I know, me too. Last night I watched the first movie.

It's amazing how good it is. I mean, I'm not saying it's the best movie ever or anything, but given the bizarre nature of the material, it's easy to see the huge gulf between the quality of the movie we got and how bad it could have been. It could have been laughable. It could have been the dumbest **** ever, but it turned out pretty awesome I think.

A TMNT game done by Rocksteady?

I'm ok with this.

Thats cause the original comic creator helped create that movie. it was just the right blend of people working on it. that made that movie so cool

I'm wondering if this game will mean the return of violent ninja turtles, where they ya know...actually USE their weapons.

I'd be more happy with something like the cartoon. Batman doesn't kill in either of the Arkham games (like the comics) and it wasn't really a problem at all.

If they kept it true to the original Mirage comics and did some hardcore Arkham sytle redesigns; this game will own. Mirage TMNT fit AA style perfectly. Instead of Riddler challenges, there could be Rat King challenges!

Like the comics there will need to be blood!

Shredder
Foot
Utroms/Krang
Stockman
Rat King
Triceratons
Hun/Purple Dragons

Maybe alternate playable characters like:
Casey Jones
Leatherhead
Fugitoid

Yeah....this would kick @$$!

It won't be a problem the 2003 turtles used their weapons in the first few early season and at the missing 4th and end season they came back to using that. and they managed to do so with out killing.( they injured and disabled) as spock wants too.
so it's all doable

christ their making Raph too freaking tall.

Yeah, I said earlier I want blood, but that was more of a joke. The game can be done just fine without blood. And it really doesn't have to be exactly like the early Mirage comics, where even Mikey wouldn't have a problem to off someone. I'm fine with Batman level violence, where the opponent practically has to recover for several weeks.
