it's less than 104 minutes, people will be mad :p

1 hour 43 minutes

Cannes was right all along

Well, at least critics won't say the film suffers from dragging along, as was the case with X2 for some.

30 minutes less than X2:

The X2 DVD was slightly crap because it had no extended footage only a few deleted scenes. I hope the X-Men 3 DVD has more material on it.

At least it isnt 90 minutes! I'm happy.

I am happy with this runtime, the movie will be fast paced -- the lead characters have already been developed. The movie is an all out war, pretty much. That doesn't need too much time.

It's going to be an intensily face paced film. Which might work in it's favor.

The X2 DVD had 10 deleted scenes, even though most of them were either extensions of scenes in the film already but it had deleted scenes.

hopefully this will put debate to rest...i doubt it though
Well, theres always the directors cut.I think quite a few scenes did not make it to the final cut.

Exactly.

 thanks Retro  103m and 53s
Your welcome.:)

Thanks, Retro

So, if Cannes was guessing, I'm gonna ask them for some lottery numbers...

Great. I felt X2 dragged on a bit. If the critics complain about it being too short when they complained about X2 being too long, so help me, God, I will rip out their spleens.

And -- is it with or without credits?

Now can the 2hrs 15mins thread PLEASE be deleted and NEVER mentioned again??!! What a mess!
I do think the fast pacing of the movie could work.

I still wanted a 2 hour+ movie.:(

Develop what? 10 new characters?

I like your thinking! It gives us something to look forward to.

All of them don't need to be developed, especially if they're with the brotherhood!

I had hopes for a longer runningtime, but unfortunately, this is all we're getting. I don't think it will hurt the movie, because X1 was about as short, but still a bit better than X2, which as has been posted before, drags a little bit.

Also, from what I've seen from the 7 minute preview, the scenes look short and clipped, but do deliver. As long as the perfromances are good, it'll all work fine.

Well, at least with that running time I won't be spending most of my adult life in the movie theater.

103 mins is with credits though right? So that makes the movie around 96 mins long.
