Rise of the Planet of the Apes and The Gambler director Rupert Wyatt is set to direct the sci-fi feature Captive State which he co-wrote with his wife Erica Beeney.
Plot details are being kept under wraps for the film which will go into production sometime next year. Several studios and financiers are said to be chasing the property, but nothing will be locked until after the Labor Day weekend.
At one point Wyatt was attached to direct Foxs Gambit but left that project which itself just lost Wyatts replacement Doug Liman earlier today. Wyatt has been busy on TV projects recently including AMCs Turn and FOXs upcoming The Exorcist reboot.
