Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson and Gary Oldman have signed on to star in Millennium Films' action movie Hitman's Bodyguard.

Jeff Wadlow (Kick-Ass 2) is directing from a script by Tom O'Connor.

The film centers on the world's top protection agent (Reynolds) who has a new client: a hit man who has come in from the cold. They've been on opposite ends of a bullet for years and hate one another. Now they're stuck together and have 24 hours to get to the Hague. Oldman will play a villain.

The film will start production April 4 and shoot in the United Kingdom, Amsterdam and Bulgaria.

Mark Gill, John Thompson, Matt O'Toole and Les Weldon are producing. Avi Lerner, Trevor Short, Boaz Davidson, Christine Otal, Jason Bloom, Christa Campbell and Lati Grobman are executive producing.

Wadlow makes terrible films, and these actors are often drawn to terrible films. Sympatico.

The premise is cool but the shooting locations suggest it's a cheapie, I've got no opinion on the director as I don't think I've seen any of his films.

Stop trying to make Reynolds happen, he's not going to happen.

even the name "Hitman's Bodyguard" is awkward

sounds like a name a 10-year-old would come up with

If Reynolds' doesnt happen after Deadpool, he should just stay home and watch tv while eating a bag of chips until he falls asleep.

He should stick to indie films. Mississippi Grind was really good.

Damn. Is there any movie Samual Jackson won't do? I think he makes movies now just so he doesn't have to be around his wife.:o

Voices wasn't bad either.

Interesting he's working with Wadlow. Don't think he was ever officially taken off of X-Force.

Stop hating on Reynolds. The guy has been the best part of many stinkers and mediocre films, and has shown his talent in both comedic and dramatic roles. He's made bad choices. I hope the guy will continue to 'happen.'

You mean like Blade:Trinity.:o

I predict another Ryan Reynolds bomb. Unfortunate for the dude. Pick better roles, my dude.

I predict another bomb with Deadpool for RR. There's just way too much hype for that movie for it to go any other way...

Ryan Reynolds could end up like Chris Hemsworth and not have any hits outside of the beloved comic character they play.

Red Band trailer is out. Looks like a game of ''How many mother******'s can SLJ get in a movie!''.

Something tells me Whitney Houston won't be singing in the end. :o

Cool to see Amsterdam represented.

I... really dug the trailer. A profane buddy comedy with two charismatic leads that do well with that kind of material? Sign me up. That said... Sam is looking burned out on screen these days, physically.

Seeing Sam Jackson in this reminds me... I really want a prequel to The Other Guys with him and The Rock.

This looks hilarious. Loved that trailer and I totally didn't expect them to use that song which was surprisingly a perfect fit IMO lol. This is definitely one of my most anticipated films of the summer and my most anticipated of August.
