According to reports from various sites Warner Brothers has announced the Scooby Doo reboot for 2018 titled S.C.O.O.B . This will kick off the shared universe of the Hanna Barbera world with the likes of The Herculoids, Space Ghost, Mighty Mightor , and others . Sounds very similar to the Future Quest comic coming next month from DC Comics .

God help me, Warner Brothers.

God damnit WB.

Guess they are feeling a bit nervous about their DC cinematic universe. Perhaps they will learn to build slowly this time...

Confused about the hate...

A shared animated universe with Scooby-Doo, The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Space Ghost... That's fantastic!

Err this was said to be happening last year. Hanna- Barbera universe isn't a new thing on their radar. They even started the process with newly launched books.

I've always loved the old Hanna Barbera cartoons . Especially the action heroes . Space Ghost, Herculoids , Thundar, Birdman, Jonny Quest. I'm kind of excited they are making a comeback . I'm curious if this will have any affect on the Quest movie they have in the works or not but I would be very excited to hear if there were any plans for any new animated shows on the way as well. Even the more light hearted stuff I think would find an audience these days . Looking at some of the goofy cartoons that are so popular now days .

Zack Sndyer's Jetsons v Flintstones .

What. The. ****.

People on twitter are also stupid thinking this is a live action universe.:funny:

They can do whatever they want as long as they give me a Wacky Races movie.

I still don't know how the Herculoids or Galtar never got their own movies. HB has a **** ton of action cartoons that are ripe for adaptation.

If this gets me a live action Space Ghost movie then so be it. I'm game.

Guys hear me out..

Wacky Races
directed by George Miller
written by Lord & Miller

Jonny Quest is happening in live action with Robert Rodriguez working on it.

Not sure how to feel about this. I'll admit I'm kind of disapointed they're making this animated...

I hear they're making this quite dark and edgy.

What qualifies as dark and edgy? Like, Shaggy watching his parents die after being run off the road by a criminal fleeing the cops because they signed DNR's?

Somewhere in between the final girls and cabin in the woods and I'll be happy.

So Warner Bros. really wants to focus on just big tentpoles and 'film universes' now. Just when you thought one Disney was enough.....
