Dyou think the Helicarrier will make an appearance in the Avengers movie somewhere??

That would be sweet if they it does make an appearance

Id love to see it get blown up too...or maybe an EMP blast makes it fall...but thats just the sadist in me :D

there is no reason not too, there was one in avatar and everyone bought it

Are there any Easter eggs or hidden clues in Thor?

No, in terms of the script, it’s pretty straight forward. It’s more through the dialogue, here and there that they’ll say something. Everything’s obviously connected, like every piece of S.H.I.E.L.D. tech has the Stark Industries logo on it. Even on a pen or computer screens in the movie. You’ll notice it on the computer screen’s upper left-hand corner, everything says Stark Industries. You already know that we have a deal with Tony Stark, which you kind of got from the first Iron Man's conclusion. Now you know S.H.I.E.L.D. is officially in league with him. And you’ll probably see stuff like that in Captain America or The Avengers on a S.H.I.E.L.D. heli-carrier.

I think the Hellicarier should definitely make an appearance. It could be completely plausable in the Avengers movie, and I know someone else mentioned this, but it makes sense that: If developed it could be powered by a large arc reactor like the one in the first iron man movie. Tony would definitely be able to build it, and he seems to be getting a lot of practice.

Yeah that carrier would be nice to have in the Avengers movie.

I am Ignorent of the ultimate universe(except for ISsues 1-33 of Ultimate X-men).Since Nick Fury In the marvel Studios Universe Is the ultimate Nick Fury does Shield In the
ultimate Marvel universe have a Helicarrier?

I think they should take inspiration from what they did with the aircraftcarriers in Doctor Who... they were basically helicarriers anyways haha:

I'd love to see the helicarrier, but I wouldn't want it as their base. I'd hope, at least by the end, that they use Stark's mansion.

I dont see Tony turning over his place to the others so I think the Helicarrier is going to be their base

Yeah I think it should show up in Avengers. It really is what people think when they hear "SHIELD"...well after Nick Fury of course.

We need the Helicarrier!!

finally i've been looking for a helicarrier thread, lol. i hope its in the movie. i thought we would see plans for it in iron man 2 or something. maybe stark would show fury plans for it and fury would show him the avengers file in return. i know stark built a helicarrier for shield, they had so many. i like the big window one that cap jumps out of, its a big fat heli carrier.

Yes, in The Ultimates vol. 2.

cant wait to see thor land on the heli carrier.

Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow did a very nice version, and obvious homage, to a helicarrier. The much derided TV movie of SHIELD with David Hasslehoff did a version that was fun. There I said it. I liked it. It's a guilty pleasure movie that I thought wasn't too bad.

And Roach, I really like your signature. Haven't read anything more truthful or profound in days.

I think more then likely the Helicarrier will be the Shield base and most likely the Avengers base as well.

just want to keep this thread up. i really can't wait to see the new heli carrier.

Oh, there's love for the Helicarrier for sure, but Whedon has already confirmed that the Helicarrier will be involved, so, this thread is kinda irrelevant since we know it will be involved; no need to wonder if the Heli will be showing up, lol.

i know , just would like some more ideas about its look and speculation about it, some manips would be cool
