I played the game A LOT already so I have information on the game

i'd love to ask questions.. but i really dont have any lol. I just cant wait for the game to come out

My question is exactly the same as ProjectPat's.

Only with a lot more cursing.

What's with all the Saints Row 2 hate?

My only question so far is how the hell do you have it a week and a half to two weeks early?

lol right?

If you wanna take the time to come and put your 2 cents in... look up the game a bit.

Saints Row 2 NEVER said that its GTA... its not a copy game. I'd say it falls under the same genre. Like Halo and Rainbow 6. Halo was never a copy of Rainbow 6... And you cant say Halo was better, not compared to Las Vegas lol. Sure, it made better in selling... however it was so hyped up and let down SO many fans of the first game. (Personal note: Halo 1 being better, as the 3rd comes in 2nd place)

And i can tell just from some of the trailers... SR2 has BETTER BY FAR mini games going on in it. I'll say its like going from Atari, to playing 360. Sure you can play your Atari games n have fun... but your going to spend more time having fun playing the new games... And thats what SR2 has.

What other game can you play driving a septic truck sprayin down people? Well you're going to get that with SR2

Saints Row 2 directly called out GTAIV in one of its earliest trailers.

As does anyone in politics. But they dont say they're the same. And that trailer you're reffering to shows how different the games are...

watch it again

Yea, i agree with this. There was no comparison, it was you can either do this "boring" activity or do this really "fun" activity. It then showed some of the pointless mini games that are found in SR 2.

You seem to be very one sided with this. You're not looking at this as another game, but you're looking at it as a knockoff.

The trailer asks whether you think ABC is fun or 123 is fun. Of the two games... i'd really have to say that SR2 had the better mini games.

But sure... GTA4 could win with graphics. SR2 has a larger famouse star cast... and GTA4 could have a longer story.

When you're being one sided on something you ignore what things you could enjoy.

I loved the older GTA games. However, I have not taken the time to play GTA4... although when visiting my brother, i've watched a good chunk of game play. I just believe that SR2 is more appealing to me because of customizing your character (not like the GTA games where you have to use a code to play as another character), and the fact that you can have a group of NPCs (or friends on-line with co-op) and drive around the city doing crazy shyt or go through missions (which on g4 they mentioned that GTA's story missions get repetitive except for this 1 mission which alot of people seem to like).

GTA San Andres had the co-op thing, but you were limited to the same area... You can be in opposite ends of the city with SR2.

It seems that in SR its all about being a gangster and rap... neither of which i care for, to be honest. It amazes my gf that i actually played the first and can't wait for the 2nd... But like i said above, customizing your character is the best aspect for my taste. I can make me and make it seem as if i've been put in a situation like that of the character... as if the game is litterly putting me into the story as the game makers were aiming toward.

I think they did an awsome job with the first one, and i can't wait to start doing some of the "crazy shyt" in SR2

I'm surprised there seems to be more hype for saints row 2 than Mafia 2. Mafia was an excellent game imo. I don't think Saint's Row done enough to distinguish itself.

Saints Row was a blatant knockoff of GTA San Andreas. SR2 doesn't do much to change that fact. It's just the first game with a bunch of silly "mini games", like streaking, thrown in.

That was one of the reasons San Andreas is the worst of the GTA3 cycle, imo. Too much crap was thrown in and it lost focus.

Geo... have you played the first Saints Row?

Kez... during the first year the 360 released, Saints Row came out and had great sales.

Honestly... i know no one that even mentioned they tried or were even interested in the first Mafia

Yes I have, and I played it a lot. Have you played the first Saints Row?

So, you liked the first Saints Row?

I'm just confused as to where you stand... whether your interested in SR2... or not.

I know that alot of people feel this is black and white... you either like one and not the other. Like comic book fans (DC or Marvel)...

Not that i'm one or the other... i do feel that i (for my reasons listed already) will enjoy the new SR2 more so then GTA4. And not that i will never play GTA4... i'm going to wait for a price drop first... even tho it may be a year lol

That's probably because you were playing the console version which was a bad port and sold poorly because of it. Mafia sold 2 million units on the pc, Saint's Row sold 1 million on the 360.

I liked the first Saints Row. I played it a lot. However, the only reason I did so was because there was no new GTA. I was tired of the old tech of GTA3, and liked the new tech of Saints.

Now that GTAIV is out, I have no interest in Saints Row 2.
