sandman's origin

I think the daughter adds an entirely different element to the story... u know they won't kill off a little girl... so she will have to be saved at the end... could that mean Sandman is possibly cured at the end??? Will he sacrifice himself??? (Although I don't see how his death would save his daughter from cancer or whatever) But u will develop more sympathy for the character if he does have a daugther... I don't see how they would kill him off if that's the case... maybe Sandman tells SPiderman at his death to save his daughter as a dying wish...

If you remember it wasn't working quite well on the second movie, since it was drowned, it could have even more malfunctions and weird "once in a lifetime" side effects.

It's a fusion ball. The only side effects of it was that it attracts metal and produces heat. That's why Octavius drowned it.It was the only way to vanquish it.

You can't seriously see that fusion reactor, with the fusion ball still going, washing up on a beach shore somewhere in SM-3 can you?? ;)

Sympathetic villain ahoy.

And the cure bit you mentioned made me remember that black english actor who was hired to play a scientist who is trying to "cure the baddy of whatever badness he's got".

.

Of course it's not going to be on, it's only going to have one last quick flash of energy when marko encounters it.:)

I don't think Sandman should be sympathetic. So no daughter.

He goes to Savannah State Prison and breaks out, a radioactive chemical plant blows up nearby and gets all in the sand. While Marko is escaping he is sucked into the radioactive sand and comes out the Sandman.

He's pure evil, the real bad guy, there's no turning back. He robs banks, steals and kills. His wife tries to turn him around but he kills her

That sounds reasonable except for the killing of the wife part. I think it would go his wife would be in a death like situation and then Sandman realzies the error of his ways and saves her and gives himself up or kills himself some how...like falling into the ocean or being melted into glass...:)

I like the speculation deaths like Ocks. Where it's not 100% confirmed that they're dead.

I don't think Ock will come back:
1. Wouldn't want to use an old villian
2. Why would he come back, he gave himself up to save Peter, why would he come back to fight him again.
3. If he is dead he is happy he is with his wife where ever you go when you die in a comic book adapted movie.

I want all the villians to be created by doing something for Oscorp, since Green Goblin 1, and Doc Ock were both created because it had something to do with Oscorp. That would be sweet.

Well if it did include OsCorp I'm sure it's a load of (radioactive or otherwise contaminted "sand") sand getting dumped on him, like in the books.

ock u realy want sandman to be created at a nuclear bomb testing site on some beach. That has to be the stupidest origan i have ever heard. sandman would be dead after a nuclear explosion and dont even get me started on security issues.

there is no way riami will ever go for that. he's created in a lab. end of story

why is that hard to do? or even stupid as you put it??

Sandman can be on the run from a prison break or whatever and he stumbles to the nuclear site he'll have no idea whats going on but when the engineers testing bombs on the site goes wrong theres a nuclear explosion creating Sandman and it was too late to stop the accident.

its possible i mean why the hell not??? i think it would look cool on screen

Didn't they stop doing nuclear testing above ground, or am I missing a key political development?

maybe...but your right they should update it a little huh?? well their could be a nuclear eruption from an accident that happens which leads to Sandman being born. of course the site has to be on the beach. and i think it will something like that since they filmed some stuff already on a desert.

Where else are they supposed to test? Underground?

It'll be interesting to say the least to find out what origin storey they will go with

Well...I'll shut up. :)

I just always they tested above ground.

:D It's okay. We all make mistakes.

I don't know what the origin will be like. Science accident, outside accident. Who knows? Sony does.

I say he just eats some radioactive sand or something. Or has an accident in a glass factory and then someone spills radioactive waste on him. :)

Well whatever it is it is going to good like when Octavius became Doc Ock and killed all those poor scienctists.

That's what I was trying to get to on page 1. I really didn't think we had open nuke test sites anymore. Cheers!

Sandman's origin could be related to Doc Ock's failed experiment at the end of Spider-Man 2. It was droped into the sea and it could wash into a beach, where Flint Marko is hiding from the law.
I really think that his origin should be related to Ock's machine. If washing into shore seems too easy, Flint Marko could have a lowly job as result of being a criminal, like gabage man on one of those trash ferries and it bumps into the machine.
this gave me an idea
flint made a mistake on a drug deal or something(maybe a deal with business man adrian toomes, introducing him in the story)so his boss pushes him off his boss's yaht(or however you spell it please correct me if im wrong)into the ocean and washes up on a beach looking for help he heads toward a nuclear plant which has just been put in nuclear meltdown
the plant expodes granting flint his powers and then he goes after his boss for vengence and spider-man gets in the middle of it

I think this info has already been leaked, and I think that it indeed involves him on a beach and nuclear testing . . .

and being bit by a radioactive spider will really give you superhuman spider-like abitilities? I'm such an idiot!!

seriously, dude . . . it's called suspension of disbelief

They can do the origin "Swamp Thing style", he's in a lab trying to steal something, an accident happens, he gets covered with bunch of unstable chemicals and catches fire. Instead of jumping into a swamp (like the guy on Swamp Thing), he "stops, drops and rolls" on the sandy beach outside the lab.:D
