Saturdays

Is it just me, or are saturdays not what they use to be?

When you're younger saturday is like an event and you can't wait for it to get here. You got to watch all your favorite shows, go out and play all day, go to a mall, stay up late and everything else.

Now it seems like when you're an adult saturday is just another day and you don't really care like you use to, especially if you work on weekends like I do.

I know what you're talking about. I'm at work right now, and my break just ended. Saturday. Big deal.

About 2 years ago, I had to work on weekends, and I hated it. It was the only day of the weekend that I liked getting things done in the afternoon.

Now, I try to look forward to Saturdays since I don't work weekends, but it's not the same as a kid. I get up early, there are two shows I watch, and then all the rest of them suck. Once it hits 11 am, I feel like I have to run my errands starting then, or my day is wasted.

Saturdays use to be such a build up for me. I remember staying up late on Fridays playing the nintendo, waiting for 7am so I could start my cartoons. There is just something about those days when you are a kid.

Eh, Saturday is pretty much another day. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays are the eventful days to me.

when I was a kid, i would get up at 8:30 in the morning just to watch Saturday morning cartoons, then I would go outside and play in the sandbox, on the swing set that we had, spend some time playing with the toys that i had, watch a movie, more cartoons later in the day... i always loved Saturdays

Saturdays are just... boring now

What makes it bad for me is that I can't even enjoy the early part of saturday because I'm so tired, then I'll have to get up to go back to work and I work until 12:30am
