x1 and x2 were nominated for um too
x2 got 0 acting noms
and x1 won rebecca and hugh and nom patrick and anna

He was nominated for "Superman Returns". Hugh was nominated for Best Actor for "The Fountain". All of Hugh's movies that were released last year (except for "Scoop") were nominated for something. X3 is competing against "The Fountain" and "The Prestige" for best film.

I think those awards aren't so especial. I see really weird four x-men actors are nominated in the same awards. Yes, two are from different films, but still is weird, hehe. And more, both Brando and Kate are nominated for Superman, so more James and the other actress, are four actors from Superman. Weird again. Hahahaa

An amazing job doing what? She had little to do at all. She stood around silent with devil glares for most of the film. She wouldn't deserve a award for this film at all.

are you kidding Famke in x3 is the best performance in the trilogy
the way she totally slipped between personalities so easily replying on facial expressions alot play two characters at the same time etc. especially in the infirmary and house scenes
alot of people who worked on the film thought her perfomance was the best
Simon Kinberg ,Ralph Winter ,Avi Arad ian mckellan , patrick stewart etc.
ralph winter : am. We struggled with changing directors at the last minute, as you know. But I was thrilled with Hugh Jackman's performance, Famke Janssen's performance -- I think she turned in her best performance out of all three movies. Ian [McKellan] and Patrick [Stewart] are steady, in terms of what they deliver. And the story was a good climax to the three movies. I feel good about it. There are things we would have changed if we'd had more time or different resources. But yeah, I'm happy with it.



and by the way Famke was actually on a few oscar lists for best supporting actress on very few sites yes but no other actor for these kinds of films has been on any oscar lists..

Famke is a wonderfully terrific actress, but she was not in her A game at ALL in X3.

whoa...seriously, most characters with personality disorder do exactly what she did on X3. Slip from cry to laughter, from evil to good, blah blah blah. It was nothing groundbreaking. Sure, she does great with what she had, but she had almost nothing to work with. Half of her job is done by a creepy make-up too. She just stares, stares, and stares again, for the most part.

I'm pretty sure that if she had more, she would probably make a superb work. She does a good job, but she has pratically nothing to do.
On the infirmary, she does what any semi-actor can do: go from a sly, fierce look to a crying, defenless one. I've seen it in comedies. She also has about 2 lines on the House scene. She screams, makes an angry face, and goes back to staring with a creepy make-up.

I thought Famke did a brilliant job with all her dialogue scenes, particularly in the infirmary and her house.

I understand flavio, and I think I'm agreed. But yes, in the house scene, her scream was really good, while crying. Seeing those moments make me think a bigger role for her would have been amazing, really amazing. More crying moments, using both personalities, that would have been the real Jean of the comics.

Indeed. Famke is a great actress. She's the one person who made start to love Jean. But she simply had almost nothing to do acting-wise in X3. All I wanted to say is that she doesn't deserve any award for her performance. Not because of Famke, but because of what her character. Anyway, Halle Berry shouldn't win any award for her Storm too, and she won, so I'd be perfectly happy if Famke wins.
