That is something they wanted to leave open for people to think about... whatever has in the box Jill opened, was part of the same plan that caused her to say the Strahm was following her... We just don't know why yet.Question, when Jill goes to Strahm's superior and says that a detective is following her, did that actually happen? I only remember Strahm looking through files and stuff so I just assumed it happened off screen but I'm thinking maybe she was the one who wrote the note to Hoffman and lied about Strahm following her to get all three men in the building together.
the thing with dr. gordon is that it all either comes down to whether the actor wants to return or not, rather then if the plot has been leading up to it. that is, unless they just go ahead and recast him for the sake of the story.
I completely agree with Gordan being the guy who slit Tapp's throat. He really doesn't sound like Tobin in that scene.
Well if you remember they did show a quick flashback of Jigsaw with his hands up as if he was confronted by Tapp and Sing. However, that is anyones guess at this moment. Personally I think it's actually Jigsaw disguising his voice so no one will recognize him.
Remember Tapp had already seen Gordon prior to interrogating him. Tapp would've seen his face and would've recognized him. Hence why I do believe it was Jigsaw.
I think he gets obsessed with Dr. Gordon because he found his pen at the one trap, and thats probably the closest hes gotten to finding Jiggs. So he gets obsessed with Gordon, plus as he dropped Gordon off at his home Tapp mentions another Dr. in his neighborhood who had 'problems'..So, hes assuming that it has to be Dr.Gordon...They knew it was jigsaw, they have his tapes, why would he try to hide his voice? They caught him red handed.
Tapp recognizing him is the point the video guy makes right after that scene. It explains why Tapp instantly gets obsessed with Gordon.
I don't remember all the quick flashes from all of the films.

I don't buy that it was Dr.Gordon who slit Tapps throat, wasn't Gordon still in his trap at that time???
I'd be all for Dr.Gordon to return in Saw VI,if it made sence, and they could explain away everything including(amanda/Hoffman)etc....

If it took place when Dr. Gordon was in the trap, there's a pretty good chance that Jigsaw was in the trap with him.
The Gordon trap took place the night that his family was under attack, which is the night that Tapp was watching his house. So it's obvious that Tapp's throat slit took place much earlier, giving him time to heal, go crazy and stake out Gordon's house.
I'd completely buy it being Gordon, Tapp seeing his face and recognizing him. Then no one believed his accusations, so he took it into his own hands to stake him out and get revenge.
Would Gordon be insane enough to do it though? Wouldn't Tapp have recognized him earlier though? However it would be interesting to think that Gordon may've sawed his foot off to prove his loyalty to Jigsaw.
I guess I could buy Gordon doing it since he did hold resentment towards Tapp specifically.

Why wouldn't they have just wrapped the Gordon thing up by saying "He's dead." It makes no sense for them to not.
like i said, i think originally, they may have intended him to come back at some point. but after awhile, they were just like, "**** it", lets let the audience wonder. Why wouldn't they have just wrapped the Gordon thing up by saying "He's dead." It makes no sense for them to not.
i actually kind of like how they showed what happened. well i enjoyed the progress in the story it made, showing Amanda's weakness for emotion.Exactly my point. Why would they continue to avoid showing what happened to him? It makes no sense to all of a sudden have his fae be tied into a video game release.
If anything I believe he'll be revealed to be an accomplice or maybe dead.
I'm all for leaving things to the imagination of the film viewer, however, at the same time I think it's fascinating to think of what might've happened to him in the long run. Like I wouldn't have shown what happened to Adam. In my opinion it was much more frightening believing and thinking that Adam literally just died and rotted away in the bathroom.

yeah i think they have to at this point, but i would believe that they opt to tell that story in the video game rather then the movie, just for general casting reasons as well as the general direction of the franchise right now.I honestly think it's to a point where they have to show what happened to him. Fans and non-fans are wanting to know and I think at this point they would be satisfied with a dead body or an autopsy of some sort.
I remember one of my co-workers after seeing SAW V asked me "have they ever showed what happened to the doctor who sawed his foot off?" Obviusly fans and non-fans want to know. I think we'll receive some form of confirmation in the next film.
if Jill turns out to be some sort of accomplice, it's too easy!I seriously hope they confirm his outcome in SAW VI,at any length of discussion. I think people got attached to Dr.Gordon and u add 5 more films of this people like to finish that story arc. To me alot of it has to do with how they portray Jiggs motives, and how the directors like to finish off stories in next movie. For some reason they never closed off that story arc with Gordon, not sure if it was planned that way or if it just soo happened that way????I honestly think it's to a point where they have to show what happened to him. I was disappointed by what I can only describe as the "filler of the franchise" that was Saw V. But alas, I have faith that they can go out on a high with Saw VI. Good theories on Gordon too lads.
I willif Jill turns out to be some sort of accomplice, it's too easy!
