Scariest Game of 2010: Amnesia: The Dark Decent.

I literally had no idea this game existed until I saw a YouTuber say on his twitter that he was going to be doing a Lets Play of the game. Saying it's "the scariest Game of 2010", I looked into it, and I guess it lives up to its name.

I watched a few videos of the game on YouTube and it actually looks insanely freaky. I guess the game is meant to F with your head as your encouraged to actually hide from the monsters instead of use weapons and stuff. The freakiest area (as I can tell so far) looks like it'll be the water are [BLACKOUT]the enemy is invisible, the only way you can track it is by looking at the footsteps in the water.[/BLACKOUT]



Someone play this and tell me how it is!

Dead Space isn't scary so much in the terms of "Boo!", as it is how ****ing terrifying the situation is.

I would say Silent Hill 2, System Shock 2, Penumbra: Black Plague and a host of other games are far scarier. From what I remember if Dead Space, it was just like Doom 3 with things jumping out at you every time you reach the end of a corridor.

Thats not really accurate. Granted there were plenty of 'boo' scares, the atmosphere of the game was the most terrifying element. There was also never any 'time off' from the feel. The problem with Dead Space, at least the 1st one, was that there was SO much tension, you eventually just got desensitized to it.
