Caught on camera: The ghost of Henry VIII

Grandmother Anne Lambert was stunned when she captured what looks like the ghost of Henry VIII on her mobile phone while staying at a Tudor manor house.
The 54-year-old was spending the night at Samlesbury Hall, when she heard some ghostly noises.
The nail technician, from Clayton Brook, Lancs, was alone in a dark room when she sensed something and quickly pulled out her mobile phone and started taking photographs.

Caught on camera: The ghostly image looks like Henry VIII

But it was only when she got home the following day and looked at the images that Anne realised she may have captured a ghostly figure resembling the Tudor monarch on camera.
Recalling the late night tour of the 14th century manor house, near Preston, Anne said: "I was upstairs near the Priest Room.
"There were two people in the room, then they left, and all the hairs on the back of my neck started to stand on end.
"I thought, there's something there. I was taking different photos around the room. It was pitch darkness. I was on my own. I thought, if there's something there it will come up on the film.
"I didn't find out until the day after. I said to my son, 'that's a ghost on there isn't it?' and he said, 'it looks like it'.
"Then I said, hey, it looks like Henry VIII."

Shocked: Anne Lambert took the photo on her mobile phone at a 14th Century house

It's the first time Ann has captured something like this on camera, although she does feel presences around her.
She said: "It scared me a little bit, when you think you were so close to something like that."
Ann joked that she was a little worried - with her name being Anne - like two of Henry VIII's wives.
She said: "I'm thinking, Anne Boleyn. I might be reincarnated! I'm glad I didn't stop around, he might have chopped my head off!"
Lindsay Murray, functions and events manager at Samlesbury Hall, was excited to hear they may have a new ghost at the hall.
When told of the photograph, she said: "We have never had any photos of Henry VIII before. It's something new and exciting and fantastic if there's a good picture of him."

She looks like the Fat Zombie in the wheel barrel from Dawn of the Dead.

it looks like a painting to me. the woman looks like a shaved bigfoot though.

Which is more frightening? If I saw the Burger King on my camera phone I'd be alittle freaked. If I seen that I'd call ****ing Monster Quest.

good ol' Henry is everywhere in England that was built in the 1500's!

Arggggggggggg :wow:

That's horrific :shock

But the picture of the 'ghost' is very poor indeed :o

:lmao: That ghost was probably scared of her.

I hate to be redundant, but the latter picture is scarier than the former. Koo-koo-ga-joo.

I see a guy in a gasmask. Not Henry VIII.

she looks like tom's fat, obnoxious wife on adult swim's "tom goes to the mayor". i definitely can't make out henry the viii in that shot.

Which one is the scary one? lol.

Henry does look a little.....spooked.

"There were two people in the room, then they left, and all the hairs on the back of my neck started to stand on end."
