Scary Movie 4 Scares Up $18.8 million

According to early Friday estimates, Scary Movie 4 earned roughly $18.8 million on Good Friday, just slightly exceeding the opening day gross of Scary Movie 3, which opened to $18.6 million in October '03, going on to make just over $48 million over the weekend. Due to the nature of the weekend, it's likely to end up somewhere between $42 and 45 million, which is less than the opening weekend of the previous installment.

20th Century Fox's Ice Age: The Meltdown earned just under $8 million yesterday, and it will drop to second place for the first time in two weeks to add roughly $20 million more to its box office, which is currently the highest grossing movie of 2006.

It's funny and sad at the same time. People complains about lack of quality, and then you have movies like Ice Age 2 and Scary Movie 4 making lots of money.

I admit i was one of the people who went to see scary movie, i didnt know which movie to see, i wanted to ice age 2. but scary movie 4 hypnotised me into seeing it. it was a bad movie not even worth the 7 dollars i regretted spending on the ticket.

I think Scary Movie 4 is funny in the sense thats it not, and half the gags arent even from scary movies.

Scary Movie 1 and 2 were hilarious. Part of the reason they were funny is because the Wayans were involved with the projects.

For me Scary Movie 4 only had 2 gags that really made me laugh. The rest were just a bit "Meh" or "Damn, that's really not that funny".

The Brokeback Mountain and Leslie Nielsen at the UN were the best jokes and had me in tears from laughing so hard.

dude i just saw a preview of the wayans brothers new movie. trust me when that gets out, they won't have a career anymore. it's that bad
