Anyone watching this? I love this show.  :)

I've been describing it to friends as NORTHERN EXPOSURE meets X-FILES.

lol malus thats a good way to describe it
Northern Exposure often served up mystical, spiritual, even supernatural elements, like no other show I've ever seen. The poignant episode where the Aurora Borealis brings on a rash of "dream swapping" among the people of Cicely is my favorite hour of television ever.
And X-FILES, for me, sometimes worked best in when it took on a lighter tone. EUREKA feels like that to me; like one of the better light episodes of X -FILES.
If they truly develop these characters (especially the civilian townspeople) and let them grow, I think Eureka has a real shot at creating the first memorable "tv town" since Cicdely was stabbed in the back by CBS back in '95.

I hope we see the former Sheriff again. I liked that character.

Its a interesting show and at least Scifi is now making shows worth watching.

It's a good series.

I enjoy the idea that Jack is the everyday man, surrounded by geniuses, and an elite special forces soldier as his deputy. Everyone knows more than he does, and he's out of his depth. But he always comes through in the end. It makes for a very interesting and entertaining viewing. Not to mention some of the humourous moments.

"We're dealing with a thing."
"A thing?"
"A thing, a gizmo"

If season 1 continues to be good, I am buying it on DVD. Like the acting and writing on this show.

Anyone catch tonight's eppy? It was good. Can't believe it was so easy
to turn off the machine.

:o this thread is dead, good thing I have an account at the imdb.com boards. *leaves board and goes to imdb.com*

Have you guys noticed how similar Nathan Stark is to Tony Stark? I mean, not only are there major similarities in terms of occupation and personality, but there's even a physical resemblence. And, of course, they have the same last name.

Shorter hair and shave all but the mustache and bam, we have our Tony Stark. Does anyone else also swear they've seen him before though?

The guy who plays Nathan Stark? Yeah, that's Ed Quin from Starship Troopers 2 and House of the Dead 2.

Might remember him from Starship Troopers 2, but I can't remember anyone else from that...

Also in charge of his own company. His character on the show is rather suave and outstandingly smart. That is a lot like Stark. Quinn can easily play out the business and playboy side if he wanted to. Not to mention how he can fit the role physically. Which is also as good a coincidence like his last name in the series.

I really like this show. :) ONe of the few decent sci-fi shows left next to Atlantis.

Great humor and great characters. :) Good stories.

Anyone catch last night's show? Saw most of it, Dish went out last 15 minutes. Wonder if Cart and Allison will get together by the end of the season or in season 2?

Also, what do you see wrong here?

http://www.scifi.com/eureka/episodes/

The episodes are out of order?

Anyways, I'm confused by something. Last night Carter and Zoe talked about how she had to steal someone's credit card to get to Eureka, but didn't they discover Eureka together and wind up there? I'm a bit lost on that part.

Also, whatever happened to that guy Fargo was working for in the pilot?

Sci Fi is airing the shows out of order. I know ABC did this one time with Less Than Perfect (_l_ ABC, at least show all of season 4 before you cancel it) Anyway...she has no car...so probably had to take a bus to the nearest town. Isn't Eureka hidden from the american public?
