Not sure how this will do next month. I don’t feel much hype out there, almost like Scream 4 all over again. Maybe when January rolls around and all the big movies from December are out. It feels like this should’ve been an August/September release.

I don't think this will do that well at all. Scream as a franchise peaked in the late '90s in terms of popularity. You always see plenty of people dressed as Michael Myers for Halloween but Ghostface costumes are few and far between. Besides that, it's a horror movie being released two and a half months after Halloween.

Because there's not much marketing going around. They should drop this movie few weeks after Halloween Kills in "spooky month" instead of January.

The buzz is already bigger then Scream 4 easily and the marketing like these posters are better then the marketing of that one. The trailer has like 15 million views. I feel press is done closer to release because people have short attention spans nowadays and the cast has been doing interviews which should release soon. The trio are all going to be on Drew Barrymore's shows next month and we will get more then that.

He's got a flamethrower. Hence the stronger metal mask. It probably has darkened lenses too so he can use it at night without blinding himself.

This killer seems to be a bit more creative and sadistic.

I have the same impression or there’s a character that is a welder and has a mask modeled after Ghostface. This doesn’t seem like the real killer because as you can see, he’s wearing a sleeveless shirt.

Like most of advertisements, people are inserting their own theories which have a tendency of going off the deep-end.

Really hoping that this movie delivers something good. Initially I was hoping we'd get an all new cast, characters, continuity, etc. but I'm intrigued enough to want to see where they go with this. All I want is for the reveal to be worth it and not lackluster like the last two installments.

I really want this movie to have something to say and not just exist to cash in on the enormous success of Halloween '18.

The movie has a great opportunity to say something about these legacy sequels and nostalgia with these over reverence of past franchises. Maybe the killer is just an uber fan or something. But we'll see. I just hope it's interesting and not a quasi Scream 4.
