Dude, I'm not gonna lie. I'll prob be a little freaked if I see any Ghostfaces in the theater. That Scream 2 opening is too burned into my brain.

Still the most disturbing opening to a Scream movie for me. The fact that Maureen is murdered in public and nobody realizes it is just so haunting.

Agreed, but Scary Movie also kinda neutralized that fear for me when it came out.... (in its parody of that scene, of course)

I'm so, so excited you guys, I can't believe it's finally almost here. I remember being really bummed when Scream 4 fizzled at the box office and it soon became apparent that there were no plans for a followup. Then Wes passed away and it seemed like that was definitely the end, at least of the main film franchise. To be getting a new film with Sid, Gale and Dewey feels like a gift, and if it's good as I hope that'll just be the cherry on top.

I'm a softie and somehow still rooting for all of the main three to survive round 5 with Ghostface, but prepared to have my heart broken.

You know, it just occurred to me that this is the second time Brian Tyler has scored for a fifth entry in a horror franchise (Final Destination 5, and now this).

It's a lot of fun and I actually think the Hollywood setting was a neat idea to tie up the trilogy. I've got a soft spot for it as it's one of the first films I owned on DVD and I watched it quite often, oddly enough way more than the others.

For many, many, years I didn't think we were gonna get a fifth movie, let alone with the same cast. And everything up to this point, including early reactions, has been nothing but good things. So excited. I think I may see this on friday, hopefully.

Some of the scenes give me a claustrophobic vibe.But, that might increase the tension.

The new cast is great but Sidney Dewey and Gale steal the movie in my opinion. The third act is ****ing wild and so so satisfying to watch. This was so much better than scream 4 and had so many great nods to the original movies, Wes would be proud.
