Screamers

[Majic Walrus]

So you know those images called "screamers" that look like normal pictures until something usually demented or ugly pops out and scares the piss out of you?

Well I ****ing hate them alright? Not because they "scare" me or even "shock" me beyond normal, but because I have a normal physical reaction which is shock and it's not the good kind of fright for me. It doesn't keep me up or make me think or even give me the giggle-terrors. It just shocks me and causes my skin to crawl and then fades away.

I have some remorse about this because I "got" my mom with one of those things when I was a teenager and she literally broke into tears. I don't think I've ever forgiven myself for that...

Anyway. If anyone ever does that to me I'd be pissed enough to shoot 'em I think.

I got my kid sister and her friend with one of these. It was great because it was a longer one, and I was able to leave the room and sit with my parents in the living room before hearing the screams.

This dude I know once sent me this poem and it was one of those romantic ones. I was confused as to why he sent it to me but I was reading it and out of nowhere the girl from The Exorcist pops up. I flew out of my computer chair and into the bathroom. Why the bathroom? I'm not sure but I never have been that scared before. The worse part was that the text was small so I was close to the screen.

I hate these things so much. A couple years back I was looking around for the leaked tdk imax footage on youtube and came across one of these things by mistake. Sure enough I had the volume on high and my headphones on as well.

My friend and I watched some "real ghost caught on tape" YouTube video. This dude is basically Spoons, but more of a Hipster. I was watching from his bed and he was watching in his chair. We were like 3 feet apart when the scream happened. Everything happened in slow motion and I remember him flying past me out of his chair. His knee hitting me in the head on his way to the bed. Like, he grabbed me and pulled me with his as he flew.
