ANYONE posting screencaps from the bootlegs will be banned.

There is no grace given on this. We will be checking threads and if you post pictures from the bootlegs OR links to the bootlegs you will be banned outright. If you've already posted them before this sticky went up, I suggest you remove them.

Damn. For a second, I thought Dew was bucking the system and saying '**** the establishment' by posting bootleg caps. :D

Sadly, it was not to be. :(

Revolution, dammit! :cmad:

Aww, what's so bad about posting an image from a part of a movie you'll never see?

Do you have to wait for the DVD, to post that image of batman?

How about Hype being sued? It can happen, so don't post it

Morg, thanks for helping out....I think we've got all of them.....BUT IF ANYONE SEES ONE PLEASE LET US KNOW....I'm sure we missed at least one...

then i suggest people start cleansing their avatars. for the sake of consistency and all. right?

You're welcome Albafan, I think I got most of them. Trouble is I bet a few popped up in other forums :(

Good point. If the avvy is NOT from a trailer, and believe me, we can tell, remove it until we are given the OK from the big boss

How come animated screencaps were allowed to be posted from X-Men: The Last Stand and Spider-Man 3, but not this movie? What's the difference?

animated screencaps from legally obtained and offiicially released trailers yes.
animated screencaps from illegally obtained bootlegged movies no.

savvy?

That's what I'm talking about. There was an entire thread dedicated to animated gifs from the bootleg of The Last Stand. No one ever shut it down. AN ENTIRE THREAD. With literally HUNDREDS of gifs in it. So again - what's the difference? What's happened that changed the policy?

Because the producers of X-Men 3: The Last Stand did not nicely send us a note saying "Please remove bootlegged gifs" whereas the producers of Fantastic Four 2: The Rise of the Silver Surfer did. As we here at Hype want to maintain good relations with the producers of said movie so that we can continue to bring you exclusive interviews and the most upated information for upcoming movies like Fantastic Four 3: When Namor Attacks, we will do as they wish, and if that means enforcing the rules to this degree and banning those who do not comply, we will.

Now, I ask you again.

Savvy?

When Namor Attacks?

I know, that is why I put that in a question.

so the producers are definitely seeing what we have to say about their bull**** cop-out on Galactus? good enough for me.

They're also seeing what the opposing viewpoint says as well. Thankfully you do not define the entireity of the reaction.

i agree that they should see the full spectrum, that's how creative ideas come about. at the same time, i'm sure glad that peter jackson/george lucas/steven spielberg/etc. didn't get as much exposure to the "opposite viewpoint" that tim story apparently did. but i'm sure he's glad to hear all the people on SHH! agreeing with him that an epic F4 "Coming of Galactus" story couldn't be done on the silver screen.

I think it could be done. I just don't think this was the time to do it. In the context of this film, the movie was focused on the Surfer... and ultimately, on the realization of Doom as a true badass. As it is, the movie was not paced for a major "giant man/army of alien robots" revelation, but if they lenghtened the movie out and allowed time for the characters to react to something so mind-blowing, attention would've been taken off of the Surfer and Doom. And I'd prefer for that not to occur here.

there sure do seem to be quite a few animated gifs and avatars from SM3...

i see where you're coming from, and -- all of my bickering aside -- i loved the movie and can't wait to see it again. the only thing i would have changed with the big G was the glimpse we got of him in the fire. it would have been perfectly enough for me if we could have just gotten a cinematic version of that M:UA clip. between Johnny's "My God" reaction, the SS referring to Galactus as "him" and the SS talking directly to him, the audience would have been prepared to see an actual being. but alas, that argument is for another thread (or three :cwink:)
