While, I am typing this though I am watching Casino Royale a part of the extra's show screen tests with Daniel Craig. Getting to the point has Nolan and his team done screen tests. And for the photography opf The Dark Knight has Nolan wrapped that up and for the filming of The Dark Knight are they really going to start shooting in April?

The industry term for "filming the movie" is Principle Photography.

No deleted scenes they have the Chris Cornell video, the women of James Bond and two things about Daniel Craig on being Bond that's mainly it.

But i think that they've wrapped up the photography by now. I don't think they'd cast Eckhardt unless he was screentested.

Way too early. The Transformers board is 'deader' than this one, and TF comes out in 4 months. We TF fans have gotten no official pics of the Transformers released yet from the studio, so i doubt a movie that's due out next year will release such things so soon.

I remember Mr. Michael "Blow up everything" Bay said in the past that he isn't revealing much at all. That to see full shots and transformations you'll have to go see the movie. I also would love to see some screen tests with Eckhart and Ledger.

Well, considering they've announced the entire CAST, I would have to assume that any screentests were conducted some time ago. Why are we talking about screentests when the cast has been announced, anyway?

That won't happen until shooting has been underway for a while. All those pics we got of the BB characters were done during filming. That's why they're all on-set and recognizable moments from the film.

Bottom line, wait until summer, at least.

They just announced the principals. We still have to know who the supporting actors are. And do you think that a Globe nominated actor like http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001173/Eckhart has to screentest?

christian Bale had to and hes a terrific actor, same with liam neeson and ken wantanbe and hes an oscar winner.

I'm pretty sure Bale was the only one that had to fight for the role through screentests. Everyone else pretty much was ok'd by Nolan based on merit.

Bale had to prove he was physically believable as Batman (he was right out of the Machinist at the time) and to prove to some executive he was good enough to carry on the franchise.
I strongly doubt anyone else had to screentest.
Kilmer and Clooney had to screentest in costume too when they were in talks for Batman, as did David Duchovny.
