These are no longer being made, and I'm so glad I got in on the very last run of these. There's only a handful out there and now that I've seen and held it, I can understand why no one wants to give theirs up.
All the pieces are hand milled steel, aluminum, and brass. No cast parts. The handle folds out, the polished brass dart is fully insertable/removable, the launcher and reel sections snap together with a custom click-lock. The little cable reel spins freely and the working trigger is spring-loaded. The thing feels so solid and weighs over 2lbs.
Now I need a suitable display stand or case for this baby. I've wanted this for 23 years. It's really the first movie prop I ever wanted. The overwhelming satisfaction while unboxing made me laugh like an idiot out of pure joy.
