The Defenders Season 1, Episode 1 "The H Word" (USE SPOILER TAGS!)

I know it was a set up episode but man was this episode beautifully shot. The use of colors to distinguish the characters was a great idea and used wonderfully. Really nice looking hour of TV

Even beyond the character specific lighting, I really dig how much the camera moves. It's dynamic, the shots are longer, and they're staged so they add a lot of depth to the shots. Luke/Misty walking behind a fence and Alexandra and Gao sitting in the park are some of the more memorable shots that come to mind.

Not that I'm some sorta expert on directing, but even I notice that the blocking of certain shots feels very bland in certain MCU things.

I've missed Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock tremendously. He's the best of the 4 leads for sure. Finn Jones on the other hand. Damn. Some of these reviews are definitely right about his performance.

Jessica and Matt were the best in the episode, Cage was alright, and Danny was meh!

Cinematography was beautiful to look at!
