Anissa finding that facility with all of the kidnapped kids reminds me of Young Justice when Aqualad, Robin, and Kid Flash found Superboy in Project Cadmus. And I don't know why I keep making Young Justice connections or correlations with these DCCW shows.

Oh crap, he's getting worked over.

The show gets better when Black Lightning fights crime with his daughter, Thunder, and Jennifer's powers continue to kick in. I agree with the connection with Young Justice.

Amazing episode tonight! Seeing Jefferson create that force field while with Anissa was so cool! Also loved Gambi's story, Jefferson trying to help out that kid, LaLa, and Jennifer's powers!

Black Lightning's going to be in trouble next week!

The microwave lady was my favorite part.

The action scene was really nice to see.

Anissa went for the low blow. It was funny right after she said her thing to Jennifer, her powers caused some damage. But it was good that Jefferson made it known Jennifer doesn’t need to be a superhero if she doesn’t want to be.

This LaLa stuff is still intriguing.

The ending... some people gonna have to die or something. Don’t let this be like Arrow, please.

----Altho, ironically; IF they ever go for a cross-over, ARROW has got to be the one.
Thematically, Black Lightning is so much darker and more serious than The Flash, Supergirl or Legends.
I could see BL getting along fine with Green Arrow.

Oh, I was talking in regards to the number of people knowing who BL really is. With Arrow, it got to a point where one begins to wonder what is the point in secret IDs and wearing masks.

--HA-HA-HA ! You`re so right. ARROW has over-played that Not-So-Secret Identity routine to the breaking point of Suspension of Disbelief.

Oliver should just about be getting fan mail addressed simply to 'Green Arrow' delivered to The Mayor`s Office by now. :whatever:

They should consider a 'Miracle On 34th Street' Christmas episode where Ollie`s on trial for being The Green Arrow and the U.S. Postal Service delivers bags-n-bags o` GA fan mail in court. :oldrazz:

"Sorry Black Lightning, but you worth a looot of money."

:lmao:

Great episode. I also love Jefferson in teacher mode.

Right? Flash is running into the same problem too. They even have Barry just outright taking off his mask for people he just met. :loco:

So, I don't know what will come of the ASA guy, but I don't think the vice principal is going to last long with her knowledge of BL.

--Well, to be fair to Barry, he seems to take the mask off to people with whom he has recently interacted with AS Barry, so maybe he`s giving them credit for basic intelligence..or just for being able to SEE and HEAR....

`Cause that Flash outfit would not keep anyone from placing him as the same lean, lanky guy who just spoke with them at length. It`s fine for zipping in, saving people, then zipping off...
But no way that suit would fool anyone who has spent any time with Barry Allen.

On a Black Lightning note (since it is his thread); BL`s outfit, voice synthesizer be damned, would not hide his identity. He`s too distinctive a person.
Anyone who really KNEW Jefferson Pierce--even with the staying-in-the-shadows schtick---any up close meetings would give Jefferson away to anyone who had spent much time with Jefferson Pierce....

(I`m talkin` to YOU, so-called 'DETECTIVE' HENDERSON !
)

Yeah, you do have a point. But, it's nice to have a superhero who at least tries to keep his ID a secret no matter what (for the time being).

I think they mentioned in the pilot that Jefferson's suit makes it hard to see his face. Maybe it's supposed to be an effect on those lights (which I feel should be gone). And like you said, he at least tries to change his voice. Flash used to do that and vibrate his head.

It looks like they don't even try to hide there Identity as if they are telling each people as if look I am flash and I am the Green Arrow. What about the writers why the mask all over when you are telling each villain about your secret identity.

This is more like the Young Justice Episode when the team Discovers Metas in Bialya(sp?) that "the light" had kidnapping for "The Reach"

Kinda sucks that they turned my future ex-wife into a villain. Though she did seem conflicted so who knows how that will turn out.

So, I don't know what will come of the ASA guy, but I don't think the vice principal is going to last long with her knowledge of BL.

The probably both end up dead. Don't care about the ASA guy, but not my future ex...:csad: :hehe:

:funny:

The future ex who'll divorce you but will act like ya'll still married. Even act like newlyweds at certain points.

I wonder when Jefferson will discover LaLa has come back from the dead?
