Let me guess the title: "What If...Doctor Strange was an even bigger a-hole than he was in the first half hour of his solo movie?"

    Basically.

I have to mentally remind myself to skip the opening credits on this one so I don't see who's guest starring to keep it a surprise.

The best episode so far. I have no idea how they'll top this one. Just perfect, top to bottom!

This episode was honestly the most depressing thing I've watched in a while.

I dont think this was really rehashing like the Agent Carter one was. This episode was very different from the Doctor Strange movie. Though this did something the movie didn't do, which was care about Christine! Good gravy this episode was depressing.

This episode was D.A.R.K but I kind of enjoyed it for it, wouldn't get this in live action you feel from the MCU so it was nice to have a vast change of tone, kind of enjoyed it more than the actual DS movie..............strangely.

How was this a rehash? There's a montage at the beginning that shows this takes place after the first movie (only difference was Christine dying).

Anyway, this was probably my favorite episode so far, despite ending on a really dark and depressing note lol.

Good episode. I probably rate it a 7.5 out of 10.
Maybe the 2nd or 3rd best of the season so far. It was a slower and also dark episode.

It's an interesting angle to have DS turn evil because of the level of abstract power he deals with. While it's interesting to follow the story and it's cool seeing some of the visuals and weird concepts, things can become so otherworldly and mind-blowing to the point where it can become visual noise and incomprehensible, if not balanced right... For the most part i thought they managed to thread that fine line.

I thought the first third was beautifully tragic, the way DS was unable to deal with Christine's death and all the different scenarios he choose to go through really drove home how much he was struggling to cope. All of that made those bad choices that came after much more believable.

I also thought the way they sprinkled in the Watcher was perfectly done and it was so fascinating to see him interact with DS. In the end even though the Watcher seemed pissed off, he still choose not to interfere and just let that universe perish. This goes to show that he does care for these characters/stories and universes and he will likely interfere at some point.

I wonder what episode will Uatu finally decide to interfere. We see him talking with Strange here, so maybe it's close?

Yeah, this one was so dark that even the Watcher had to pop in at the end just to stress to Strange how ****ed he was.

Overall, quality-wise I thought that this was more or less on par with episode 2 although this was the least enjoyable to watch of all of them for obvious reasons. Episode 3 is still the best so far IMO.

For the majority of this episode, it really felt like a one-man show starring Cumberbatch but because he's used to voiceover work he nailed it.

My only question is, I saw Leslie Bibb in the credits for this one as Christine Everhart. I wasn't fully awake when I watched it but I don't remember seeing her pop up at all. Where was she?
