What If Season 1 / Episode 9: What If… (Finale)

All I'm hoping for is that this episode is longer than 30 minutes. Gamora, Ultron, and the Guardians of the Multiverse seem like a lot to cram into a half hour.

Interesting that they went with the armored Gamora poster for the season’s finale. I thought she was going to be introduced in a separate episode but they might have just folded that storyline into the finale.

She seems to be an integral part of the team that they’ll be assembling so it makes sense that she’s given a bit more of the spotlight. Also they could be using Thanos death at the hands of Ultron Prime to serve as a productive way to bring this Gamora into the fold.

It has to be longer than 30 minutes. Otherwise it will probably feel rushed.

We have now been introduced to Ultron Prime, we know the threat he poses and his motivation. We also have a better understanding of the Watcher and how he affects the story moving forward.

Having said that we still have to introduce this armored Gamora, her story and her motivations. We have to see how will Doctor Strange Supreme help the Watcher, how will they assemble the team of misfits and wrap those respective storylines. Not to mention that this multiversal situation has to be explained and understood by each of them…

We also have all the different smaller battles that involve each character and that massive showdown as a team against Ultron Prime and his army.

They better give this episode more time to breathe.

Curious to find out who’s voicing Gamora as I don’t think Zoe Saldana will be providing it.

Yeah, they have way too much ground to adequately cover in 30 minutes, especially since we know that they're bringing in so many elements from other episodes like the zombies.

So how did they decide who would come back for the voice? Was it just who was doing a Marvel movie/show at the time?

Or was it simply reach out to everyone and 50% agreed and 50% didn’t?

There's a lot of very spoilery elements in the trailers and tv spots that should be addressed in the finale. For example:

- Thor fighting Ultron sentries in Vegas
- Doctor Strange and Thor talking about Zombies
- Captain Carter talking with Doctor Strange
- Ego possessing Peter Quill
- Shuri, Pepper and the Dora Milaje confronting King Killmonger in the Wakandan throne room.
- Thor, T'Challa Star Lord and the newly assembled team being debriefed on what's going on
- Gamora fighting Ultron Prime
- Post apocalyptic Black Widow with her shield fighting in "Japan"
- Post apocalyptic Black Widow jumping with a motorbike and shooting with a bow and arrow
- Panoramic shot of several characters fighting together in "Japan", T'Challa Star Lord, post-apocalypse Black Widow, armored Gamora, King Killmonger, Captain Carter, Party Thor...

Stuff got pushed to season two, no?

Some trailer images may not accurately be what we get before this one finishes.

The showrunners said they reached out to everyone but then you have Dave Bautista saying that he was never asked about it. Maybe they approached actors' agents and in some cases were shot down because the roles were too small, like Bautista's.

They could have reached out to his agents. So both sides could be telling the truth if his representation declined without thing him

I was wondering what the title would be for the finale. I like it.

This was funny. :D
Looked like a kid playing with an action figure.

I HOPE HOPE HOPE this episode has some lingering ramifications on Multiverse of Madness!! Give us a live action Watcher, Feige!!

Also, everytime I see that Gamora poster, all I see is a young Morgan Fairchild! :funny:

So the Watcher revisits the previous established universes and literally picks up whoever he wants to help in his fight against Ultron Prime. I still wonder if these are doomed universes because that could explain these specific characters.

Also I hope we get some badass/cool moments with Thor seriously letting loose. I just wanna see him doing some epic stuff.

Yeah I’ve loved Watcher in this and would be well up for that.
