Daredevil Season 2, Episode 13 "A Cold Day in Hell's Kitchen" (USE SPOILER TAGS!)

Wasn't the best finale possible, but was still great, really enjoyed this season. Much better than Season 1.

Wonder if Foggy will show up in Iron Fist?

I'd imagine that we won't see another season of Daredevil before the Defenders, so it'll be interesting to see what gets tied up where.

Really enjoyed this. Bravo Marvel & Netflix!

I was completely fine with Punisher not doing a lot in the finale. It was Matt's and Elektra's fight. Punisher giving Matt a hand during the final encounter was enough.

The finale was meh but the rest of the season was excellent. Of course I wanted that last fight scene to be all three vigilantes in action. The final death very predictable since she dies in every iteration of the character so is the eventual rebirth.

Did he really even give him a hand though? Seems like Matt would've been OK even if he didn't.

I really liked the series, but these last few episodes seemed rushed and not as thought out as the first 3/5th of the season. And the costuming reveals annoy the living hell out of me.

Agreed, I think they're should've been a 14th episode.

LOL watch how Iron Fist doesn't get the actual Iron Fist costume until the last 20 minutes of the 13th episode :D .

Maybe Frank was off doing something else when he happened to pass by DD nad Elektra's fight and as like "**** it, i'll pick a few baddies off"

still, seeing the Skull and his Trenchcoat was great.

After an amazing Season 1, I expect most shows to die down a bit. I expected a solid outing for Season 2, but I was blown away.

I am sad that I have run out of episodes but it was completely worth the binge.

The Punisher at the end :woot:

Any guess on.
Micro, what's Frank ashamed of

Theories, don't know if spoiler tag worthy ??

i didnt like this episode....

... i didnt like this episode because it means i have to wait a year or goodness knows how long for season 3 :woot:

seriously though, this has got to be the best superhero season i've seen from a slew of superhero seasons (and believe me, i watch them all). the whole "treat it like a 13 hour movie" storytelling technique is so right, whoever thought that up should get a nobel prize for... literature or culture or something.

i just have a question though:

so The Hand didnt really want to kill Elektra because she was The Black Sky, but then in the past episodes, when Daredevil and her found that gigantic hole, The Hand ninjas just sliced her guts open as if she meant nothing. so now im confused

i mean sure the way this ep ended it didnt seem to matter whether Elektra was taken alive or dead, but i just had to wonder if there was a sudden change of plans with the storytelling. also it didnt make any sense to have a hole that big when that large jar (casket?) looked only about the size of a person.

They didn't know she was a black sky before.

Now that was an ending. Definitely ended better than last season. But my first thought is, can we get season 3 now? It isn't just Elektra and the Hand, which can theoretically be in Defenders. Come on, you leave with that Matt and Karen moment? It was great and it was a long time coming. And leading up to it, Karen was strong and heroic and everything you'd want. The fight between Matt and Nobu was great (and Frank showing up was fitting as well). Really, this was just the perfect ending to a great season. I felt the first season had a more singular story, but this season was just more fun overall. Five Stars.

The whole
Elektra is the Black Sky nonsense was quite lame. I'm not really keen on seeing more of that. Which is a shame since I love Elodie's acting and Elektra started off well.

Totally loved the entire season, as I did JJ and DD season one. However, it seems the final episodes of the Marvel Netflix shows always sorta fizzle and not really end as strong as other episodes in the season. I don't know why this is.

What happed with Stone and the rest of the Chaste army? For something that seems to have been being built for many years, they barely did anything. Weren't even around for the biggest events.

Well the story is not over yet, so they are clearly going to show more stuff later on.

Well, the war is still not over so there is time for them to join in. My guess is that the fight in the end was not planned and thus Stone and others just weren't close enough to be able to join in time.

Really wish they'd had Frank don the skull shortly after his prison escape rather than just an even breifer reveal than the DD suit got last season. The final fight seemed kinda anti-climactic, the roof fight with all the ninja's seemed kinda sloppy, the Nobu fight was nowhere near as awesome as the season 1 fight with him, and it probably would've been better if they hadn't had Castle show up at all considering how little he did, with how few Hand ninjas were left its not like Matt didn't already have the situation in hand at that point. I didn't hate the finale, I quite liked it, was just disappointed in the final fight since the show has proven multiple times both this season and last season that it can do better.

I was still expecting him to light up a bunch of ninjas when Matt and Elektra were way outnumbered on the roof, and not just take out three of them with a sniper rifle. Still, it was a very good finale to an excellent season.

Awesome episode,. only thing that bugged me was Matt constantly taking his mask off in the last 10 minutes or so. I mean hes blind,. whats the point of taking it off.

Not sure what you're talking about, he's not even in costume for the last 15 minutes of the episode :oldrazz: Adn the only time he takes it off is when he's having a serious conversation with Elektra about their future together, and he probably reckons she rather look at his real face instead of a mask.
