A school field trip goes awry when Dr. Double X causes a lab explosion that fuses slacker science teacher Ronnie to his genius pupil Jason, creating the reluctant hero Firestorm...and unbeknownst them, it leaves Batman divided into three parts!
Airing: February 5
Firestorm is enough, but Dr. Double X too? :wow:

I love this show's reach into the DCU.

Riddler's voice is pretty sweet!

It's a sign of this show's awesomeness that I was expecting cameos form Echo and Query.

"You overeducated twit." :funny:

Stoner Batman is king :hehe: but the angry Batman is great too he reminds me of All-Star Batman.

As with other teasers in the past, this week's teaser teams Batman with the already-familiar Booster Gold against a new Batman villain, The Riddler. This entertaining teaser has the premiere for the villain as he asks Booster to solve his riddles or risk electrocuting Batman. I especially liked Riddler's symbol-themed henchmen.

In the main story, the villain Dr. Double-X sneaks into a nuclear plant and triggers a nuclear meltdown to increase his powers, but Batman fights him, causing the meltdown to activate. Double-X does not receive his powers, Batman is split into three personalities, and genius student Jason Rusch and slacker teacher Ronnie Raymond are fused into the superhero Firestorm. Together, they help Batman get himself back together...literally, fight C-list villains, and stop Double-X.

A hilarious episode, and yet another hit in this solid season. Many funny jokes were presented, some of my favorites including Ronnie's stupidity, Riddler's henchmen, and the nacho in-joke from The Batman. Actually, everything Slacker Batman said was hilarious. I also have to give props to Ron Perlman, who really outdid himself as Double-X, and could barely recognize him in the role.

The episode is downright brilliant. Voice acting, Music, characters, dialogue, cameos... It was the best serious yet still having the humour episode for sure. Loved the Brute-Batman, but man they should have been called Flame Dude. ;)

Really like the design of the Riddler and his voice.
I thought Booster came off as a Dim-Witted goof.

My favorite C-list Bat-Villian makes his animated debut, Dr. Double X.
And he was used well. A creditable threat to our heroes.

Love the bar scene with all those villians. There was:
Catman.
Calendar Man.
SignalMan.
The Ten-Eyed Man.
Planet Master.
Cluemaster.
EaserHead.
The Spinner.
Mirror Man.
Dr. No-Face.
I am forgetting some.

But there are other villians that I have no idea who they were.
The guy wearing the tux with a camera head.
The snake guy. Surely that is not Korba.
The Cowboy.
The guy with the lollipop.

All in all a nice 'B+' episode.

Some interesting things i noticed: "BATMAN DOES NOT EAT NACHOS!" Are they taking a jab at The Batman series?! LOL! And other way to look at the 3 bat divided personas:

Analytical Batman = Donatello
Aggressive Batman = Raphael
Slacker Batman = Michelangelo
so, just Batman must be Leonardo

T
he BEST and Funniest B:TB&TBep yet! :hehe::awesome::up::batman:

Great episode. Firestorm could carry his own series. Hope we see more of him.

The guy with the camera head is Mr. Camera. Only one appearance, as far as I can tell, from Batman #81 (Feb. 1954)

The guy with the lollipop is Sweet Tooth. The snake guy is King Cobra. The cowboy is The Brand. The Eraser should be pretty obvious. Looking around, I see there's mention of a Simon the Pieman cameo. I'd have to queue the ep again to confirm.

Here's a link with some pretty good scans of the bar.

"I got the munchies something fierce"

"Where is the schizophrenic candlestick?"

"BATMAN DOES NOT EAT NACHOS"

"yeah... angry batman is splitsville"

This episode was down right hilarious . Great introduction to the character of Firestorm . Loved the teaser featuring The Riddler and his swearing henchmen . The way tptb handled showcasing the three persona's that make Bruce Wayne - Batman (The scientific mind), (The brute force) & (The Boy).

I also loved the mega super villain cameo smackdown and Dr. X .

Anyone else recognize who was on the cheese bottle Slacker Batman used?
It was Little Cheese of Captain Carrot fame (or lack thereof). Other heroes in Brave & The Bold might be C-listers but that Little Cheese cameo might just indicate that we might see our first Z-listers in the form of an Amazing Zoo Crew appearance.
They did defeat Starro in the comics, a Starro storyline is building in the teasers and rumor has it that an appearance of a surprise guest star is yet to come.

If I'm wrong, I'm wrong (been wrong before) but if I'm right, I called it!

i thought starro destroyed the zoo crew earth

While Starro did succeed in flooding Earth-26, it can be assumed that the aquatic species were not affected and are still alive and well there with a smattering of land species stragglers. (Coast Guard servicemen, for example)

firestorm is my favorite dc character so I freaking loved this episode. really hope he (firestrom) shows up again, heck, give him his own series.

I loved seeing those villians as well. Dr. Double X was great! The guy with the lollipop is Sweet Tooth a villian see in The New Adventures of Batman animated series in 1977 from Filmation. The snake guy or cowboy I have no idea.
