He better not be used to find them!

Great start. They are so very much in their quirky groove, whether it's a fight against fascism or a battle over a manchild. Really think the structure of this season is going to make it something incredibly special.

Glad to have a proud anti-fash at this time. Star Wars social conicious is a core element that was missing from the lesser material that's been dragging down the mythos over the last few years.

Star Wars can be otherworldly great. No reason to accept otherwise.

We've got heartbreak, leftist infighting, the most textured Imperial oppression has ever felt, and of course - evil mothers. Absolute peak. I'm buzzing. This show continues to be the best thing to come out of the modern era of streaming-driven franchise content mills.

Done, yeah, that is the good ****.

I loved that interaction between Mon and Leida. Leida so wanted to hurt her mom, but was shocked by her putting up a quick mask. And of course, she knew what was going to happen when she talked to Luthen. Which is why she got drunk.

Poor Vel. I knew Space Bezos was dead. Was not expecting Cinta.

Man, the right wing star wars fan are going to have a field day twisting themselves into knots over the whole Mina Rau stuff. Got, seeing B2 play with the kids, and then beg to not be abandoned, heart breaking. You better pick him up Casssian. Losing Brasso hurt. At least the rapist and his subordinate got shot.

God, why do I have to wait a week for more.

I'm really broken up over that sad box. He's not gonna know what happened! Brasso was the one who left him with her so I assume no one else knows where he left him and they'll have to leave and B2 will live out his days with the kids, never knowing why he was abandoned or if Cassian ever made it back.

Or they pick him up. You better ****ing pick him up after that cut!

Droids are just space pets and it hurts so damn much.

A great start indeed and dang does it just feel good having this show back even if it's for the last time. I pretty much loved all the stuff with the TIE Fighter stuff in these first three episodes with that sequence at the beginning of episode 1 being one of the most thrilling openings to anything Star Wars related IMO.

I also thought the awkward dinner scene with Dedra, Syril and his mom was great and of course you can't go wrong with a good old fashioned Space Rave lol.

Oh god, this is my mother.
Between last season and now this season, there’s so many moments for me to choose from that feel so uncomfortably relatable.

The amount of times I cringed during the dinner scene. :grimace:
When people tell you Star Wars isn't political as they talk about the undocumented.
When I heard them use the word “visa” in that particular context, I nearly fell out of my chair.

I did hear Tony Gilroy talking in a round table about how they kind of just pull from throughout history examples of stuff like what happens in the show and it just happens to end up being topical because things repeat in cycles over and over again, because we’re dumb mammals who don’t learn from our past mistakes. It’s why it simultaneously feels so relevant and timeless.

Between this, and to a bit of an extent Daredevil: Born Again, somebody or some intern or employee over at Disney must have a pulse on the whole political climate and really good at predicting things because certain things in both of these shows have eerily lined up way too well with whatever’s going on right now for being written almost 2 years ago.

It’s crazy how this show feels like somebody read through my thoughts and made something just for me.

Particularly the “evil mothers“ part. Okay, not “evil”, but she does have some toxic tendencies. Some of the things Eedy says in this show sound like stuff I’ve heard come out of my mom’s mouth more than once.

Reminds me of both of my dogs on their last legs. Looking very worn down and trying to move but struggling, sputtering and shaking with every movement, almost a pale echo of who they once were. We had to put them to sleep 2 years ago.

Hopefully, B2–EMO avoids a similar fate.
