Fisk's a horrible human being, but he's a spectacular villain. The way he can weasel his way out of any sticky situation is impressive.

I'm glad they didn't ***** out with Vanessa. She was dirty back in season 1 and should stay that way. She may be even more cold-blooded than Fisk if that's humanly possible; that scene with Dex and the painting was chilling.

I love seeing the trio working together again.

I don't have a ton of thoughts on this episode. It was well done. I guess knowing the issue count hurts it. I just knew that things couldn't be resolved here with one episode to go. That being said, some of the other shows seemed to wrap things up on episode 12 and had a 13th episode with a bit of a status quo change or denouement.

I wish Ray had a bigger plan. I know he needed to die, but it would be nice if he recorded his conversation or something.

The reason I think the Kingpin is the best adversary for Daredevil is because he corrupts Matt's belief in the law. That belief has always been the biggest reason he doesn't kill. He has other reasons, sure, but there's still a faith in the system that he can catch the bad guys and someone will put them away. Fisk perverts all that. The unfortunate thing is Matt seems to have already lost his faith in the system. It was only his respect for Foggy that kept him going. That being said, I'll put my predictions for the final episode in spoiler code.

I can't see this season ending any other way than Fisk's death. If this were comics Fisk, it might be different, but he seems too vindictive to just let things go. Before this episode, my thought was that Nadeem would be the one to kill him. But that went out the window the second he ran from Fisk. I still hope Matt isn't the one to kill him, though.

Four Stars.

Goddamn the wife is annoying!

Sorry, had to vent.

Shame that we didn't get Vanessa any earlier as I would have liked to see her work with Fisk a bit more.

I don't get this preoccupation with lying being the ultimate sin when you are married to someone in the FBI who is dealing with the most dangerous villain and just trying to protect his family. Is she not lying to the kid anyway?

Damn Venessa is such a cold hearted *****, but her loyalty is admirable in a really twisted way. That whole scene with the painting was unnerving, but I had a feeling where it was going when she said she wanted to be more in his life.

Still Nadeem's death was unfortunate. He was in way too deep though and when he decided to run it was obvious things weren't going to end well for him. I did like the character overall even though he made some really bad decisions.

I wasn't expecting her to say that, was thinking she would be really pissed off that the painting had been taken by force as Fisk had thought after speaking to the previous owner. I really liked that dynamic when she saw everything behind the scenes after all this time and her love for Fisk makes much more sense now, and as a character she is more than just Fisk's girlfriend. I hope to see more of her in future seasons.

Got to feel sorry for Nadeem. His heart is in the right place most of the time, but Fisk is just way ahead of him.

They may not make it official until the next episode, but
This is the episode where she became Vanessa Fisk to me, and she is great.

I sort of hope they make her the main villain if we get a 4th season. Either her or Mr. Fear as the primary villains would be my choices. If they use Mr. Fear, I would like maybe some loose adaptation of Guardian Devil.

Agreed.
I love the idea of Matt having no idea just what a viper he's agreed to leave free here, and it coming back to bite him, so to speak, haha.

Man, this episode basically had me just watching to see how Fisk trumps everyone.

I was expecting someone to try something during the Nadeem’s testimony but since we didn’t see that happen, I figured it would be when they were coming to their decision. Matt was right to tell Foggy to not act like they won.

I was baffled by Nadeem’s wife being mad at him about lying and giving him the impression that she was prepared to leave him. I feel like Fisk being involved would make anyone understand why Ray wouldn’t say anything to her. Just felt like the writers knocking down Ray more than needed.

Fisk doesn’t seem as happy about Vanessa being more involved as you’d expect.

Still got one episode to go, but I wonder...
How did Fisk know about the grand jury and how were his men able to locate Matt and Nadeem in the van? Someone is still leaking him information. Is Tower corrupt? He seems like the only one left that it could be, because it's obviously not Matt, Foggy or Karen.

Also, yeah, love all the stuff with Vanessa. Only someone as evil as Fisk could fall in love with a man like Fisk. Also Ayelet Zurer is just... wow. I had almost forgotten how drop dead gorgeous that woman is.

The fact that there are Grand Juries is not a secret. It's also not that hard to figure out who is on the Grand Jury by simply following them as they left. Typically, they meet for many days and issue tons of indictments. It's easy to imagine that he kept tabs on the Grand Jury as a general rule.

I was hoping to see more of Ray going forward. Felt like he could've popped up in a season of Punisher as well.

The shootout with Matt and Ray was great too.

One episode to go. Curious to see how it all goes down.

Aw, Ray's death affected me more than I ever thought it would. I was hoping that he'd end up being an ally in the future seasons. I think what surprised me the most is how he went out on a whimper. I was expecting him to at least make one last attempt to help the gang (like taping something or whatever) so it's disappointing that he pretty just accepted death and rolled over. And OMG yes, his wife was ANNOYING.

I'm glad they didn't soften Vanessa and it's chilling that she's basically the one who sealed Ray's fate.
