I actually think that woman was just meant to be referring to the fact that Sam & Ruby were very recently and very publicly saved by Supergirl. And so they were "initiated." That's why they showed that particular save in the "previouslies" at the start of the episode.

Argh!! I'm sure you're right. I didn't think of it that way.

    Simple explanations. :oldrazz:

She spoke about Ruby as special yes, but she also said that Sam needed to come as well, as in she was saved by Supergirl as well.

Great no new Supergirl episodes in March.

I don't get their reasons for the schedule.

I cant tell if this means that CW doesn't hold Supergirl to that high of a priority or if they do hold her in high priority in launching something new.

I wish Supergirl would return to CBS.

Supergirl wouldn't have made it to S2 if it remained on CBS.

But it is stupid to air 4 episodes and then say "see ya in 2 months!"

Supergirl had a good chance of getting a season 2 on CBS but probably not a season 3.

Yeah, that's sort of weird scheduling. Supergirl ratings are going to be in the crapper by June.

Just assumed because it affects season three, this was the place for it.

I think that is part of it, maybe.....

But, 23 first run episodes throughout a time where many will be playing reruns? That's a win for them....

I was never worried about cancellation, but now I’m curious what those “production issues” were about if that was on the level and truly had nothing to do with Kreisberg.

I think we will get our answer in the change in writing and direction of this season....I think it will be noticeable. If there isn't a change then I think it truly had nothing to do with AK.....I don't really believe that.

I think they fell behind in production due to the crossover. Melissa had a lot to do and they probably didn't want to do episodes with less Kara. But it does make me side eye them giving Melissa all that time off to go on vacations.

But Arrow also fell behind in production during S4 when they started doing the bigger crossovers.

Steven Amell says the crossover was difficult on production. Supergirl has probably the tightest filming schedule of all the shows so it’s easy to get behind. Chyler missed SDCC because her father in law died, that may also have a caused a delay at the very beginning. We know Jeremy was hospitalized for food poisoning. People get sick and have to miss work. Outdoor venues can be difficult to coordinate. Scheduling with a child actor means less flexibility. Emma can’t stay if a scene runs late and her hours are limited. Little setbacks add up.

^When they were filming "Midvale." I don't think that had anything to do with the "production issues" mentioned.
