I feel like the opening "What do you think Superman and Lois Lane will be remembered for" could very well be part of a closing montage for the show (and the It Went By So Fast could be one of, if not the last, shot as well).

Tyler Hoechlin, who went from being a glorified guest star on Supergirl and the Arrowverse crossovers, has cemented himself as my favorite Superman, even if there are aspects that I prefer from other interpretations like Reeve and Cavill. For someone who did not win me over in his first few outings, he's proven that he was more than worthy to wear the cape. I'll miss him, I'll miss this show, and I'll miss this era of DC TV. For all the ups and downs of the Arrowverse or DC TV on the CW/WB, when it hit high notes, it really hit high notes, and this series was no exception. Easily the finest program to come out of this era of DC TV on the CW.

That was a damn good series finale. Definitely the best Superman on tv series finale and probably dc tv series finale in general. It wasnt perfect and there were some changes that I'd make but still really good.

I was a bit over Doomsday with how much we got of him between the series so his ending couldnt have come soon enough even though he looked like a gorgeous beast. Superman vs Lex was good and much needed.

Im a bit annoyed that we didnt get more of the Supersons Suits. Im imagining they were cgi to of course....save money. the true evil of this series.

During Clarks monologue was really good and helped make the finale what it was.

I think they should've included some more SUper scenes of J/J saving the world. Facing off against some villains. Encountering the LoSH (having clark talk about them and see them in the shadows extending their hand with a glimpse of the L ring wouldve done SO MUCH).

Could've done without the million grandchildren. I HATE millions of children/grandchildren in series finales. it gives me Charmed flashbacks.

I really enjoyed the series finale as a whole but damn those last 10 minutes absolutely destroyed me. Tyler Hoechlin's monologue was fantastic, and it really hit all the right emotional beats.

It was really satisfying for the most part although I can't lie, I definitely wanted a bit more out of the Smallville fight with Doomsday and especially out of the final battle with Luthor.

It's easily one of the best endings to any show I've seen though.

I will truly miss this era of DCtv. I didn't watch every show, I dropped a couple along the way but like The Flash, I will miss having this show to look forward to every week. Although Flash may be my favorite still, there's no denying Superman and Lois was the best one. I think they nailed the ending for the most part, I'm still trying to process all of it though.

Tyler Hoechlin, can't say enough about him, probably my favorite Superman overall.

I'm guessing Krypto was the surprise cameo they talked about? Definitely a nice touch. I have to say though, was a little confused about the wedding at first, especially since the episode started with Lana and John Henry talking about possibly ending the relationship and I wasn't sure it was a time jump right away.

Just happy we got a final season to wrap it all up and they, mostly, nailed said ending. I'll miss this cast, I'll miss this show and I'll miss discussing the episodes almost every week with all of you. I may not be on this website all that often anymore, but it was always nice to share my thoughts and see what everyone else here thought.

The last 15 minutes of the show had me ugly crying, and just when I thought the crying was done, the last five minutes happened and it was a wrap for me

I’m happy that this show carried the character for the last few years, and with the movie a few months away, we really are lucky as fans to have Tyler pass the torch to David

Talking strictly about the WB/CW, It's strange to have this feeling for the third and now final time. When Arrow ended, even though it kick started off the Arrowverse, we still had shows airing, and there was still some life in The Flash and Supergirl. When The Flash ended, even with its ups and downs, it was the end of the shared universe, giving us a real epilogue with Oliver's return. But even then, we still had Superman and Lois. Even afterthoughts like Gotham Knights and Naomi, one season and all, were still products birthed from Arrow's success.

Now, the era of DC television that began all the way back in Smallville, to Birds of Prey, to the planned Aquaman spin-off that never happened, to an actual shared universe, has ended. Say what you will about the Arrowverse, but I believe that Arrow and Flash gave networks the confidence to try their hand at more comic-book based shows. Daredevil gave networks the confidence to take more risks, but Arrow and Flash got the ball rolling and, without those shows, we wouldn't have gotten Supergirl and, eventually, an actual Superman show with a Clark Kent who was a real family man.

Would it have been nice to have some sort of acknowledgment of the greater multiverse that helped birth this show? Sure. Not saying I needed Grant Gustin or Melissa Benoist to appear, but some nod. But again, this show was its own thing and didn't need the Arrowverse to stand on its own. For the good and bad of this era of DC TV, it was something worth watching and discussing. Who knew that we'd ever get a Superman on TV when Warner Bros. seemingly didn't know what to do with the character? Who knew that we'd get the Flash on TV meeting the Flash from the DCEU, in a true TV and film connection and not just Jeph Loeb talking about it all being connected? Who knew that a stuffed animal named Beebo would end up becoming his own star on Legends of Tomorrow?

Whatever one may think of the Arrowverse and the shows birthed from it, it was something special.

I can't believe we got a show about Superman's later years on a farm raising a family. I can't believe we got people as perfect as Tyler and Bitsie to lead it. I can't believe I just got essentially a live-action screen adaptation of the ending to my all-time favorite Elseworld, Secret Identity. I can't believe they squeezed Krypto in there!!! I can't believe they actually made me love and root for Bruno Mannheim, WTF! Everything about this show was a goddamn miracle.

Thanks to everyone involved for the gift that is this show. And thanks to my fellow S&L Hype fans for sharing this journey. It's been a real one!!!

Well, I just finished watching the episode. Like others have already said, the series finale didn't disappoint. It almost feels somewhat appropriate that the DCTV Era on the CW came to an end with this show seeing as how it started with "Smallville". I can't really see any live-action Superman project topping the quality of this show (as a whole) for a long time.

Despite Oliver and Felicity having a similar ending on "Arrow", I felt like this show's ending hit all of the right emotional beats. I was both happy and sad to see Clark and Lois grow old together and reunite afterwards in the afterlife.

On an unrelated note, was it ever revealed who Jonathan and Jordan ended up marrying in the future? Unless she dyed her hair later on, I'm pretty sure that the blonde character wasn't an adult Candice in the future montage.

Within the limits of budget and time, this was a generally good finale. I liked the idea of devoting two-thirds of the story to wrapping up the Luthor/Doomsday plot and reserving the final third as an extended epilogue. A fitting farewell to the series — and to the CW/DC era more broadly. And probably the best finale among those DC shows.

But gotta say… Seeing ghost Lois glammed up in a sexy sequined evening gown struck me as unintentionally funny and distracting — and it took me out of the moment. Perhaps if ghost Clark was wearing a tuxedo (because the afterlife is formal dinner party?) Lois’s sartorial choice would have made more sense…

Wow what A Series Finale, I got emotional during the Epilogue as we saw Lois and Clark grow old together with Jonathan and Jordan growing up with a family of their own with several kids of their own.

I thought the fight between Lex and Superman was good and kinda harkens back to The pilot fight between John Henry Irons and Clark only on a budgetary scale.

The boys certainly came into their own . Take on Doomsday and Luthor.

Lois goating Lex to attack her was genuinely good.

It was a nice twist to see Bizzaro Superman’s personality rise from the body of Doomsday sacrificing himself to be engulfed by the yellow sun.

The afterlife sequence tugged right at my heartstrings as I just recently lost my mom to a massive heart attack. So to see Clark reunited with Lois had me crying.

Its sad to think that we've gone 23 straight years with a DC show on broadcast television and thats likely over now. We'll see if we go another 4 years in between like we did with Lois & Clark to Smallville.

Stayed up til 1am to watch. Cried through most of it. Woke up this morning, watched again... cried even harder

It was rushed, there was too much Lana, the Doomsday fix was annoyingly easy and Lex was still just so dumb.

But as an ending to an overall body of work, it hit all the right spots. It carried home the core themes/messages. I will forever be grateful we were gifted such an unapologetically cheesy ending. I love love

Looking back, i am shocked this show was greenlit to begin with. I can easily picture snooty studio execs being like “a show about SUPERMAN being a father and a husband? Who wants to watch that?!” You know; that same ignorant mentality that will forever keep Peter Parker young and single. The people in charge of these fictional characters tend to be afraid to let these characters GROW and MATURE and deal with grown and mature things and whichever CW suit had the balls to make this happen, I salute you.
