I guess because Flockhart has enjoyed a long career, we’ve known her at different stages. So we figure that a younger Cat Grant should closely resemble Ally McBeal. But appearance aside, I thought the actor did a reasonably good impersonation of Grant’s voice cadence and mannerisms.

Now whether Cat Grant should have been in the episode at all is different question. :ebr:

I dunno. That critique struck me as… petulant for the sake of petulance. The conceit of the episode is that traveling to the past could introduce new variables into the timeline. And that’s what happens. So the novel friction between Alex and Kara — because of the novel time-travel antics — seemed natural enough.

Now, this doesn’t mean the episode was a work of genius. But in tallying its flaws, I wouldn’t put character discontinuity (comparing it to S3/06 “Midvale”) at the top of the list. There are other flaws that rate higher. :word:

I found it kinda funny that the high school baseball field was better than a lot of college stadiums I've seen and even some minor league parks :funny:

I think I would be warmer on the episode, and the season in general, if it wasn't the last one. I enjoyed the episode, and it was great to see Brainy's big chair again. And I do love Jesse Rath's Brainy.

Why couldn't they have gotten some DNA from Kara's apartment? There must be some blonde hairs lying around or DNA on her toothbrush or clothes.

Kara also lost her powers in the first season of Supergirl and went to stop a store robbery knowing she could die or be injured. That would've been an era to time travel to.

Also will Kara remember Nia's visit and sleepover now from when she was a teenager?

Bit late to the party, but now everyone has the ability to time travel? For one, they could've asked Barry, and for two, they could've used that ability (travelling through time) in so many other instances; defeat villains, save Supergirl, defeat Lex (etc)

Except that each time they've done so, they've opened that Paradox Can that no one is supposed to touch.
Of course, if they were going back in time anyway, why not go to just before Lex zapped Kara into the PZ..?
