Could be. Its either a feature restriction or part of the agreement they had with Bryan, either way sounds like it wont happen. But they do sound greatful for all the stuff Bryan let them pull off, espeically Lois being allowed to be on the show.

It's all for the best. At least we still have a Superman on the big screen in 09.

Could be is not a definitive answer. With that logic they "could" still be planning on using the suit in the last scene.

It does make me wonder though if the movies are stil holding off Smallville from using the suit doesnt this basically say a sequel is happening ?

But there has yet to be any proof that the WB execs are putting a restricion on Smallville to use the suit.

Season Six, Episode 22 "Chaos"

A RACE AGAINST TIME- Oliver Queen (Guest Star Justin Hartley) returns to Smallville to see Clark and asks him if he's ready to stop 33.1 because Lex is getting ready for a war. Lex Luthor gets Chloe hostage and demands the truth of Clark, he somehow discovers that Oliver Queen is the green arrow. Lois Lane asks Jimmy to join her investigate where Chloe has gone. Lionel tells Martha about the Kryptonian symbols he has been channeling and explains what they mean. Chloe tells Lex nothing, Lana sees Clark talking to the Green Arrow and sees him leave at super speed and is shocked. Lionel goes to see his son about stopping 33.1 but Lex points a gun at him and threatens to kill Chloe unless he tells him what he knows about Clark because he believes Clark & Oliver aka green arrow are responsible for all the 33.1 being destroyed. Lionel tells his son he is seeing things. Martha tries to get hold of Clark and Lana arrives telling Martha about Clark. In one of the 33.1 an explosion occurs and a deadly gas is drawn out. Lex Luthor demands that Clark Kent, Oliver aka green arrow and his men are to be killed for messing with Lex Luthor. Chloe tries to walk away but Lex shoots her leg and tells her that now that she is a freak as well she can be experimented on. Meanwhile, Lois Lane and Jimmy lose control of the car and the gas arrives to Smallville. A dark figure arrives to Smallville searching for Kal-El, great son of Jor-El and destroys everything in its path. Clark tells Oliver that the gas could destroy everyone in smallville. An image reveals a sudden truth to Lex Luthor.

Sounds like its fan speculation, but its a pretty good spec.

sounds all right, could confirm ollie for next series' opener as well as for the dark figure - dare i say doomsday, (everyone knows i'm going to say supergirl as well because i'm such a fan and she was destructive in the superman/batman arc)
