Cecile is trapped and she is forced to confront her past in order to break free from a psychic prison.

I think I'll be skipping on this one then.

Do they have a complete new writing staff from S1 or is it just a showrunner thing? They really don't know how to a good leveled comedic scenes. It's just so over the top.

The Cecile stuff was weak but I didn't mind the A plot with Team Flash. Overall just a pretty meh filler episode. Glad to have Sue back for a short while though.

Time to rename this show “pep talk hour”. Dear god not 1 but 2 pep talks with the same character and next weeks episode looks horrendous focusing on sue and the mileena ripoff. Maybe covid really limited them this season but the amount of filler is out of control.

its night and day with quality

I am beyond tired of pep talks. Once again....evil is defeated by a pep talk. Just STOP IT!

They really don't want Caitlin and Iris to share screentime together do they? I know that the actresses don't really get along allegedly but lord does it make scenes make less sense. Why did Caitlin disappear at the end of the episode? Why couldn't she help Iris take down evil Cecil? Barry didnt need that much monitoring.

Just so bored.

I don't know how much of that BTS stuff is true, but they should really just replace Caitlin with Sue. she's more fun anyway.

I hope Sue is back. She is a more interesting character.

Was a rather dull episode. How did the mask find Cecile in that storm and take over her body?

I knew she'd be beaten by a pep talk.

Why did they have to trap Barry? Just so they wouldn't have to have him suit up? Anyone else could've been trapped in there and helped Cecile to face her fears.

This seemed a bit like a rehash of Iris being trapped in the mirror universe.

Worthy topic, poor execution. Leading up to this episode, the show gave us no indication of Cecile's secret past nor of her present suffering.

This would have been a great Joe episode if they gave him the mental illness story. We've seen how Joe has been behaving strangely for the past few years: low energy, slurred speech, and glum mood, leading to the sudden and out-of-character abandoning of his commitment to the police force. If Joe were to reveal now that all this time he's been sinking deeper and deeper into depression or fugue or something, we'd feel the character's pain.

(In real life, of course, Jesse L. Martin's back injury is the unavoidable reason for at least some of Joe's behaviours.)

Exactly my thought! Just a rehash of someone's body being taken over - again - and being trapped in some other 'reality.' 2.0

And yes, more pep talks please... 'But I was used, or made a little mistake, or like everyone else I thought she was really Cecil, but it's all my fault! WAH!'
It's like these writers can't do anything else but have every character be crippled with self-doubt.

Just once, I want them to surprise me, have one of the good guys make a mistake - but them pick themselves right back up with barely a pause without falling into a weeping little puddle!

But hey, Sue's back!! And in that tight black suit...Where's the dang drool emoji..? Never mind, I'll use this one. :hrt:

Natalie Dreyfuss could've starred as Zatanna if they had done a live action series of that instead of being wasted on a role like this. She could've headlined her own series.
