There's no way that Rick doesn't find out what the Oceanside women have been up to, and that just felt like a way to give that community something to do, really. Plus, Simon orchestrated that whole thing, right? If anything, Negan did the Oceanside community a favor by killing him.
And willing to bet that Maggie and Daryl don't even see or reach Negan until the very end of next week's episode.
This season keeps getting better. I wish Angela Kang took over two seasons ago.
Was Scott Gimple the worst show runner TWD has had? There has been a noticeable improvement not so much in quality, but in content. Episodes are actually about something. And they've managed to make character conflict tie into plot situations that feel natural. It's just a shame that this has happened probably too late for most viewers.
I'm still not feeling the old magic of previous seasons.
It's probably gone for good. We're now in a new place on this show where it's all about rebuilding society. There's more people, the days of going on scavenging runs is mostly over. But that's sort of why I'm digging the show, now. Seeing them travel by horse, building bridges, there's a practicality to it I find interesting to watch.
Was Jadis talking to Mark Hamill on the walkie-talkie? Sure kinda sounded like him...
I couldn't make out the voice enough to be sure.....
Yes. I like him as writer, but he really screwed up as showrunner. This episode would've been half a season under him. Episodes would be:
Grimes Family Fun Day cold open, Rick & Carol investigating murder mystery bottle episode
Unrelated Tara Bottle Episode
Cindy & Maggie bottle episode at the dilapidated shack, Rick & Daryl arrive at the end
Jadis/Father Gabriel bottle episode at the junkyard
Oceanside flashback episode, Maggie & Daryl arrive at the end
