We all know what the best one is.

Which performance do you think is the the second best?

I enjoyed see Robin Williams in Insomnia. Probably because it was nice to see him do something different than the usual comedies.

Hmmm..It's between:

Guy Pearce as Leonard Shelby
Christian Bale as Alfred Borden
Robin Williams as Walter Finch

What's the best?

man this is a tough one...

Im gonna have to go with Bale's Borden. Prestige has the best acting because the two leads were both brilliant.

I went with Leo, though it's tough to say because Nolan tends to get the best performances out of his actors.

Gary Oldman. I ****ing love Oldman's Gordon.

I didnt saw Inception so I will vote for Jackman as Angier ( Bale was fine but Jackman was the best IMO ).

No JGL as Arthur?
Even though he was sort of a side character, his scenes were really good

I honestly thought Cillian Murphy gave an incredible performance in Inception.

I would say Cillian Murphy was the heart of Inception.

But my 2nd favorite would be Guy Pearce as Leonard Shelby

C'mon man...

Dammit. I deserve a facepalm for that. I had a very mind numbing day at work. I'm literally LOLing at myself right now. *Sorry Heath!*

I still need to see Memento and Insomnia. I've tried to force myself to watch them when I just wasn't in the mood, but couldn't sit through either. Not that they were bad or I didn't like them, just not in the mood.

Of what I've seen, I'd have to give it to Gary Oldman. I need to see Inception a few more times to really get my head around those performances. They were phenomenal the first time, but I really need a chance to watch the movie again just to observe the acting and not worry about the plot.

There are so many good choices. Some may be better performances but that does not make them more entertaining than others, i would personally say Tom Hardy in Inception has the most charisma out of alot of his characters, and Heath obviously deserves number one, for second i will most likely go for Hugh Jackman in Prestige.

Guy Pearce but Nolan got the last great Pacino performance with Insomnia.

Pearce, Jackman and Eckhart were the only ones that felt like real people with real emotions, and not cold and distant like the rest of the characters in Nolan's movies. Great performances & I rank them in that order behind Ledger.

Gary Oldman. I ****ing love Oldman's Gordon.

I feel like a dick for forgetting this especially when I been an Oldman fan since childhood unlike those other guys. But yeah this is a genuinely very charming performance in both films. Oldman puts a lot of heart into the little work he gets. Makes it so memorable cause you can tell he believes in Jim Gordon as a real character.

If you want the most layered, subtle, nuanced and brilliant performance in a Nolan flick (yes, even more so than Heath Ledger's Joker, in my view), look no further than Bale's Borden in The Prestige. Upon closer examination, he had the impossible task of effectively playing two completely different characters while keeping the audience convinced that they were actually watching only one. I am still amazed at what Bale did with the role every single time I see the film, because I continue to discover new aspects of his performance I hadn't noticed before. Definitely one of the most re-watchable roles of the last decade.

I honestly thought Cillian Murphy gave an incredible performance in Inception.

He did. I was surprised at how much of an emotional roller coaster his character went through. His character was definitely more important to the story than I was expecting.

Meanwhile, I have to say Rebecca Hall was great in The Prestige too. Her and Bale were great. That climactic fight between them? Holy crap.
