Megatron blasted him. He got caught by the blast, and then carried to the top of a building. There was no heroic sacrifice or standoff between the two. Where are people getting this stuff from?

I'm pretty sure the rankings, originally, were Prime, Jazz, Prowl. In the first season there were a few scenes where Prime, Jazz and Prowl were standing around discussing plans. But, back to the topic, Jazz rocks and I want him back in the sequel.

He jumped on him before they got airborne? I seriously don't remember seeing that. Are you sure? I recall Jazz getting blasted, and from there it was game over. I do agree he was brave. He was the first one to charge Brawl, and he went down fighting

Jazz is one of my favourite transformer and I hated how little character development was put into him. Honestly, most people except fans of Jazz didn't really care that he died. Bad characterizations in the movie. I loved the voice and the little bit of parts he was in I just wish there was more.

Darius McCrary did a good job as the voice of Jazz in the movie . I hope he returns in the sequel .

OH BOY PLEASE let it be true!

Oddly enough i saw a Navy Blue Solstice parked in front of my mall today while coming back from work. What a beauty, i wish i had my camera with me, it really was calling to me!

Edit: It would make sense now why they toned down his supposed epic scene in the final battle. To make a comeback more likely as to and ending had he been killed after a heroic long battle. I hope so because otherwise it's a unessary cut!

Interesting to see that the production team may be considering the idea of bringing back Jazz in the sequel.

Still, I think Bay should've waited until TF2 before killing off any of the Autobots because it would've given him chance to flesh them out more, and in doing so, would have more of an impact on the audience if one were to die.

I Always thought jazz was second in command and i was pretty upset when they killed of jazz so cheaply. and also why didnt they use a porsche just didnt make sense to make him that small.

I loved Jazz as well and was disappointed in his death... although, I was very pleased with his presence in the video game. He was hands-down the best fighter from the Autobots side... too bad Brawl killed him... dang it!

I liked Jazz in the movie as well, i genuinly felt sorry for him at the end and wish he had given Megatron more of a fight. But, with the news he MIGHT be back in the sequel, i feel a bit better about his death in the movie.

jazz's mission in the video game is probably the best. next is probably ironhide's...bumblebee's at hoover dam are just frustrating! but it feels good after u beat it. to me, it almost feels like i havent been optimus...i just whipped through the optimus levels like it was nothing.

Apparently the fight at the end was much more epic, dramatic and longer. I mean the fight between Jazz and Megs. I heard they really toned it down to insignificant (on screen that is). Maybe it's because they didnt want to impact on that scene too much making a comeback very out of the blue. Perhaps they want to keep it a mystery. I really hope he does come back, he's such a cool autobot and i dont frankly want to see any of the main ones get it, maybe beaten to heck where in the end they need to rebuild their comrades but no killing. I think it's essential to establish a main group among the bots, specially with others popping up in the sequel. Otherwise this will turn into X3 free for all...

^ I agree, though i do with Jazz would have at least put SOME fight up against Megatron, he is a high-ranking Autobot afterall.

Well like i said, from what was mentioned apparently he was the one to go up to Megs and OP said something along the lines of "nooooo Jazz" and then the epic fight ensued. In the movie we got it just seems like he's trying to get away while Megs is the one to go to him.

it's funny that bumblebee and jazz were the only ones to survive in the 1986 movies...in the 2007 movie, bumblebee gets his legs blown off, and jazz dies. oh the irony.

anyways...i'm betting they'll bring jazz back in a new alt mode or something. jazz is one of the most popular tformers of g1.

Good point, considering Bay wasnt all for the idea of Jazz being a GM car. I wonder what he had in mind and if the GM won't allow for another exotic car to be used.
